You really think Watkins is better than Kane?
The trophy argument with Kane is boring. But seeing as you’ve brought it up. What has Watkins won?
Whether Watkins is better than Kane is irrelevant to the context of the conversation (he definitely isn't), it's the fact Southgate carried on picking Kane when patently either not fit or out of form, or both.
Everyone could see it but him.
It's as has been said, Southgate had his favourites and couldn't see past it, despite it being right in front of him. He kept picking him, and just hoping.
Have to assume Tuchel wouldn't do this. And that he'll pick players in position.

Well Watkins is still a kid ... for one thing...
I think that every Endland game I've seen in the last 6 months where Watkins has been brought on for Kane - England have looked much more fluid and dangerous after the change - if you don't - then your rose tinted glasses need de-misting ...
... and facts are facts - even if they are boring - he even managed to halt Bayern's 20 year consecutive run of trophy winning - no mean feat that!

No idea. Didn't check anything on Watkins either just remember being shocked at how old he was when I saw it after his goal against the Dutch this summer.

Kane broke all sorts of records last year. The reason Bayern didn’t win the league isn’t because of him.
And does winning a league title (it’s inevitable) mean his career is legitimate?
Not difficult scoring in that league with that team behind you though.
