Potential banana skin for us with Cov at home. Match has sold out with them bringing 5k so should be a decent cup tie.

Glad that they've had a bit of a good run recently. SISU (their owners) nearly bought us before them so I've often wondered how different the last decade or so would have been for both clubs had that happened.

Funnily enough, although geographically they are our closest rivals (and visits there as a Yoof were always 'lively') I hated seeing what happened to them and have been rooting for them to get back to some semblance of where they used to be ... they've been doing well and it could be a cracking cup tie.

Similarly, we face a banana skin at our other closest geographical rivals tomorrow at a sold out City ground - Forest and Cov are both roughly 30 miles from Leicester (Derby a little bit further).

Games like these are why the FA Cup is still very special to all but the plastics.

Enjoy mate. <cheers>

On the funny side of the United loss....

This is from the Guardian report...

Rangnick was clear, though, that United were culpable for the loss. “In the first half we should have easily been 3-0 up and second half we had chances too. We should have won the game in normal time. On penalties it can happen what happened today,” he said. “We have to take our chances better and with more quality than we did today. It was our own fault – we should not have gone into extra time and penalties. For example, Bruno [Fernandes] chance [near the end] – if he has 10 of these in a match he scores nine.

“Today he hit the post, tried to place it too exactly – these things can happen, obviously he didn’t do that on purpose.”

Calls out Bruno but nothing about Ronaldo missing the target from the penalty spot ?
<laugh>

United fans don’t like to admit/in denial over the detrimental affect the Ronaldo signing has had on the team’s ‘performance’ regardless of any of his positive impact.

I don’t think he’s been all that and take away the penalties hes been meh but it’s Ronnie init
