Was not a pen mate even with the rule change...just an appalling refereeing decision.

It is but even with that it should not have been a penalty...that's what I do not get.
Was a shocking decision
If the ball hits the hand (ha and to elbow) it's now handball irrespective of any intent ... but if a player actively controls the ball from elbow to shoulder it's not, under the "T-shirt" part ... hence Chris Wood scoring Burnley's opener against us last Sunday ... seems absolutely ****ing daft, but that's how it currently stands ...
There was a few baffling moments and **** decisions yesterday too tbf.
I agree with you btw, glad I’m not currently paying to watch VAR destroy the game as a live spectacle. They’ve had a season to iron out the wrinkles and get VAR right, but it’s got worse.
Just heard a rumour that Richard masters was rushing around trying to find his phone charger while VAR were looking at the monitors
That's not the rule...if it hits a players hand accidentally and the hand is in a natural position then it is not a penalty.
Dier was jumping and hits arms were up due to that so therefore his arms were in s natural position.
If he had not been jumping then it would have been a penalty.
That's my understanding of the rule change.
No one on the bbc, sky etc think it is a correct interpretation of the rules.
Genuinely do not get how a qualified ref looked at that with a set of replays and says its a penalty
Explains why it took so long for the offside.
Stalling for his phone call
Come on mate there's been several of not all of them, so if they didn't give it I'd be fuming tbh
It's just one game we'll get the same at some point all clubs will..
Like utd will get it looked at... or United tbf..

I saw VAR kill celebrations and produce really poor decisions last season at the lane...for and against us.
It's ****, and imho it is killing the atmosphere at games and is changing decision that are not clear and obvious errors (millimetre offsides spring to mind) and **** refereeing decisions are not being corrected...which is bollocks cos that's why it is supposed to be in place.
