@brb ‘s man Paul Scully was on TS yesterday spelling out the financial crisis they currently face without fans. He reckons they collectively need £2-300m from somewhere to see them through. He suggested this needs to come from either the Govt or via the PL obtaining loaned funds on their behalf that could be structured to be repaid over a long term basis.
It’s the Championship clubs who are at most long term risk according to Scully as they collectively run at a collective loss of circa £400m per season (pre COVID) as owners gamble on chasing the pot of gold that is the PL.
