Paco Alcacer, though he's about to go out on loan to Dortmund, so he's clearly not having it.
Munir El Haddadi replaced the Uruguayan late on in their last game, so it looks like he's the one now.
He's come through the youth system and had a bunch of loans.

As far as I’m aware you’ve never tried to sell him, he’s always been loaned. Whatever, it doesn’t obviate my point of why he joined.

Nobody wanted Moura, which is why we got him cheap. I expect that’s changed now, but that’s down to Poch. I would place Willian certainly above Son. Moura, it remains to be seen.

Different type players, but i would have Son over Willian as we need a pacy direct winger who can take a FB on rather than Willian as an inside forward. One where you could choose either depending on your teams need.

Why would you spend big money on a back up striker who probably isn't as good as your versatile wing forwards? That is the real question (regarding batters)

Willian spends a good amount of time on the Chav bench. Utd have several top class players on their bench, as do City.

Did you read my comment? I said Barca are leagues above us but the consistency in the point remains - they don’t have backup for Suarez.

Shock News - Chelsea offer more money to player than other club. We then signed Janssen, who had just as promising reputation as what Batshuayi did.

Willian, Pedro and Hazard are competing for two spots in the Chelsea XI. We have Son, Lucas, Lamela, Eriksen and Dele competing for three spots in our XI.

Utd have several top class players on the bench? Like who? Sanchez was only on the bench because he was returning from injury. Rashford is a youth product. Martial’s the only one on their bench that is seemingly of good quality - well he don’t even make the bench anymore it seems - and yet he’s hardly set the world alight at Man Utd.

It’s not shock news is it, smart arse, but it is a reason. As I’ve said.

Yes, we have competition in midfield but I was talking about a striker. Nobody competes with Eriksen. He has none.

Yes, Sanchez, Rashford, Martial, Mata, and others.

Because our wide players although they’re good for a the odd goal are not regular strikers.

Although, as I’ve said, Moura May have inadvertently solved that problem. If last night is anything to go by, he has a strikers instinct.

So why do we need backup when we have Kane?

So what you’re saying is that we should compete/ should have competed financially with Chelsea? Yeah because that would’ve ended well, wouldn’t it?

So why use Willian as an example if you’re talking about strikers? Willian isn’t a striker.

Sanchez isn’t a bench player. He was on the bench as he was returning from injury. Rashford - youth product, they didn’t pay top dollar for him did they? Mata’s best days are over and was initially signed as a first XI player. Martial has done nothing special. Their squad is no better than ours.

I prefer Giroud out of those tbh. We flow better when he's in the team. I'd give Bats a go though.

Nowhere have I suggested we go toe to toe financially with Chelsea. A figment of your imagination. In fact, I stated our inability to compete on that score is why we can’t get a half way decent back up striker.

Willian was in a different discussion with Bobby.

They’re still quality players, sitting on a bench. Rashford is an England player.

Are you saying you don't have quality players on your bench because you have as many if not more quality decent back up than we do at Chelsea.

Also Your wingers are decent back up strikers, Son has far more goals than Batters and contributes more to the play.

Of course we have one or two quality players on our bench. We do not have a quality striker, however. Which is where all this started.

And I disagree that Son is adequate cover as striker.

Summary:

NSIS fancies Batters as a striker and Son as not a striker.

Neither was Ronaldo, doesn't mean he cannot be a great Striker though even though it's not his best position.

I would argue that someone like Benteke isn't a striker even if he sits at the top of the attack :P

Benteke was a striker. He still tries to be one, but his confidence looks shot.

Ronaldo, like Messi, is a law unto himself. Two of the greatest players to ever play the game.
