I’m with you here. I was all for off field assistance to rid the game of obvious referring howlers, but the way this has been implemented by Riley and the PL is truly awful.
It needs urgent review and also for FIFA to look at the new handball rule which sucks dick, as well as adjusting the offside rule to take account of the VAR era.
Have a great dayReally mild here at the moment, which is handy as I’m having a BBQ later to celebrate my birthday.

I don’t see VAR correcting the mistakes it set out to put right. It just adds another layer of subjectivity to the decision making and is rarely objective because most reffing decisions are based on judgement anyway.
But more than that, it’s punishing teams for absolute technicalities, like the handball and offside rule, when in the past it was always at the refs discretion to give the benefit of the doubt to the attacking team.
Worst of all though is the way it kills fans enjoyment at celebrating goals, that in itself goes completely against the spirit of the game, for me that’s reason on its own to bin it off.
It’s become a bit of an event over the last few years. Having a birthday so early in January means that most people are fed up with the normal buffet style food straight after Christmas. Obviously only the cooking done outside, the eating will take place indoors!

Buncha wimps
Do it properly, eat outdoors. In shorts.

I particularly like the bit pointing out that today's match comes almost 7 years to the day after that match.
That took place on Sunday 15th December 2013.... which is 6 years 3 weeks and days or using a BBC calendar "almost exactly 7 years to the day."![]()
I expect an utter drubbing.
I am hoping that, in beating us, 'Pool expose every one of our weaknesses and frailties, so that it it is crystal clear to Levy that no manager in the world is going to be able to paper over the cracks and allow him a cheap "get out" to save him the expense of renewing the squad.
I’m hoping so, as I’ve backed BTTSGoons comedy defending has returned, I see.

Arsenal look very vulnerable to the self inflicted blunder when Palace press them in their half. Palace aren't getting in behind, but they may not need to.
Luis nearly gifted Ayew there.
Luiz is an accident waiting to happen. You just have to put enough pressure on him.
He’s a good footballer, he’s just always had a **** up in him, and as his legs are ageing they’re getting more frequent. Hopefully we’ll see one second halfTbf, his pass created the goal.
But, for a defender, he has too many brain farts.
