yeah, even i can see that the barcelona team was not good when he took over. I think the job at bayern was simples and the city job is a bit mixed. It was a good side and he's spent a lot of money but so did a lot of his rivals (terribly).
If Pep was a mediocre manager I think they wouldn't have been able to over come Klopp and Liverpool tbh. A meh manager wouldn't have been able to keep up

Chelsea and Man Utd are way out in front for net spend over the last 5/6 seasons…. If the money isn’t spent right and there’s not a manager there to bring it all together, then it means absolutely fook all. Spending big money and managing all the big personalities that come with it and then coaching them into champions, is an art in itself. 100 point seasons. 4 in a row. 6 out of 7 league titles. 100+ goals in a season. The premier league has never seen anything like it. He bettered what Sir Alex done with all that and when he matched his treble season, that took him above SAF and made him number 1, imo.
