The whole league structure had been disbanded because of World War I. When it started up again Arsenal were included in the new top flight as it was expanded to 22 teams, so it included us after a vote about who should be included. Spurs fans only bring it up coz they are ****ty they didn't get the place, but they were relegated in the last season before the War, along with your lot.

But Chelsea got a place in the top flight too, despite being relegated. So maybe you should be looking at your own club's bent promotion

But you didn't initially did you? You're the only premier league club who didn't win promotion via their results on the pitch. Your place was gained by your financial clout rather than your on pitch success which means you had a huge unfair advantage. This is absolutely fact mate and not up for debate.

Which is the point. You constantly argue that City's success is meaningless due to it all being caused by questionable funding - which is more than a reasonable point for what it's worth imo.

But isn't Arsenal exactly the same? Without buying your way to the top division you wouldn't have been in a position to win the league titles you did which increased your stature.
