I’m torn on it. One part of me is saying it’s business and they should be able to spend as they please. It’s also hard to argue with the other side of the coin that clubs need protected if these owners decide to walk away and leave them in financial ruin.

This is all in place for Klopp, then he realised he isn’t as good as pep so tucks his tail and runs.

These rules were never about the latter mate. It was always about protecting the 'istoree clubs and seeing off any competition.

Plenty of clubs have still got into financial **** since these rules came in.

You’d think it’s not beyond the wit of man to have a system in place where the owner has to personally be accountable for the debt he creates or even better the cash needed to run the club should he **** it off/die should be maintained at all times to ensure the club can operate. Spend what the **** you want but it’s on you.

Should be made to deposit full contract amounts up front into a Trust of sorts so that the money is there for it and doesn't **** up the club down the line.

S.A.F may just pip him there unless PEP re-builds his team/squad multiple times over the next 15 years or so :emoticon-0105-wink:
Peps teams took him apart whenever they faced up as managers. If he wins 4 in a row that’s something that Sir Alex could never achieve. Like hitting 100 points in a season as well. Man Utd were great under Sir Alex but Pep’s teams are better again. At the moment, all Sir Alex has on him now is longevity.

I don't know what the answer is to it. Maybe all points deductions to take place the following season after they were issued?

I'm sure that has happened to some EFL clubs previously, Derby I think were one of those clubs?

I don't really like the idea that teams escape relegation because point deductions were issued to other teams, to escape it for that reason, means they were shhite anyway. If it's all done at the start of the following season, it seems a fairer playing field, Afterall, the offences I assume were not commited in the season they were issued, so why not wait another six months in Forests case.

Luton were deducted 30 points for much less that Man City's multiple crimes
