Yep. All deductions need to be for the following season. It’s not fair going back when everything is done and dusted on the pitch.
We wouldn’t hear about it without you. Again, thank you. A special mention in the 2024 awards is due.
Yeah. The FA need to make public their guidance for how they come to their conclusions for points deducted.
June 1- anyone who’s ****ed something up gets ten points off for next season. Appeals heard on July 1- An extra five off if the appeal fails for being cheeky bastards.
He hasn’t cheated. The guy is a genius and the best manager we’ve ever seen in the premier league. FACT
We spoke about this at the time of Everton's appeal. None of this should happen mid-season. Not the initial hearing, not the appeal, none of it. Charges can be levelled and so can formal responses, but anything to do with actual sentencing can logically only happen in the close season or it undermines the entire league. And if that process cannot be completed in the course of a summer (unlikely unless the club itself drags its feet and doesn't cooperate a la Man City), it rolls on to the following summer with an additional penalty (financial or otherwise) for wasting the court's time. I can't see any other alternative. The Everton thing was bad enough but this is just taking the piss now.
This should tell you something. Most people know a class manager when they see one (even Klopp) and appreciate what they bring to the game, the only people who don't are those who cry about it.
I personally see FFP going in the bin in the not too distant future. If they're gonna be handing out points deductions like this it won't be long before somebody challenges the anti-competitive nature of the rules.
Banned twice for doping when he played. Barca are under investigation for match fixing.. coincidently all the years pep was manager there. City lawyer up and dodge a 2 year ban from Europe under him. Again for cheating. Also currently under 155 charges of cheating by the prem. Ya mate clean as a whistle Hes the Lance Armstrong of football
S.A.F may just pip him there unless PEP re-builds his team/squad multiple times over the next 15 years or so
I’m torn on it. One part of me is saying it’s business and they should be able to spend as they please. It’s also hard to argue with the other side of the coin that clubs need protected if these owners decide to walk away and leave them in financial ruin.
I had way too many yesterday. Didn’t stop until 6 this morning. Only just been able to face posting now. Enjoy.
You’d think it’s not beyond the wit of man to have a system in place where the owner has to personally be accountable for the debt he creates or even better the cash needed to run the club should he **** it off/die should be maintained at all times to ensure the club can operate. Spend what the **** you want but it’s on you.
