Good for you. I don’t see the point in not being optimistic when things are going well for your club, it builds the excitement. If you win the league you’ll be elated. Bumps on the other hand after constantly thinking you’ll always get beat and someone else will win the league, he’ll be relieved. What’s the point in that?
Take note @Bumps

That takes me back.
Shoot, Score, Match, I used to buy all of them.
I used to buy the season opener one to get the little league ladders, with the club cards so you could put your own little premier league table on your bedroom wall and adjust it every week.
The only other way you could look at the PL table was to go on Ceefax! <laugh>
I used to live on Ceefax on Matchday if I wasnt at a game,

Yup, I remember all that, weird because recent stuff I rarely remember, must be age. Like you I used to get all the popular football magazines, I remember the league ladders, enjoyed them in our simple world, I wonder how many people remember Carlisle United being top of the league! It was probably only for a week or two. I couldn't remember where I got the league ladders from, but I guess it must have been those mags now you've said it. That particular front cover I always remember Malcolm McDonald for the five goals he scored against Cyprus for England - I had to google to see if he is still alive, he is.

I agree with most of this. I do however think they’ll be more careful in future after the kick back from the supporters after the BCB fiasco. Riggy was a youth player at Newcastle don’t forget before jumping ship to us.

As for the pure hatred. Surely you accept that’s a two way street, we are rivals after all. I see it from both boards on here and all the time when I’m home. That’s to be expected.

Football is a business though and if you’re paying over the odds we’d be mad not to accept it.

Yeah it's a 2 way street absolutely.

Like, I won't go to a business cos it's a Mackem running it types <laugh>
