They've caught him out lying so they've either been through the data on his phone or requested the information from the bookies. Either way I'm stunned they've had the right do that.
It will have been the bookies that have grassed him up. Those rules are to protect them (the bookies) and nobody else.
It is quite tragic you got no comebacks left mate. Here lies Sucky, he ran out of material when Liverpool turned to ****e
Me too, twatter bloke clearly feeling the butthurt from the rinsing he's getting. Please make it stop
"unsustainable wage budget" Lol football is a mess but no one seems to want to sort these high wages and transfer fees out. It's like an addicted gambler taking chances for that one big win, and when they fail, they can't pay their dues. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65723359
I'm wondering if there is any legal obligations on the part of the bookies taking the bets, to prevent insider trading. Thus if you are considered to break the rules, is the betting company legally required to report you and to whom? I don't know, just assumptions on my part. Part the problem I have with understanding this is what are the connections if any between FA rules and UK Criminal law and what parts of it affect the betting companies.
I've just been reading more and apparently they knew he was using friends accounts to place the bets. I'm even more confused now and can only assume they must have gathered all of this by the data on his phone.
I get the sense of feeling that he may have willingly handed his phone data over. Maybe he thought by doing so, it would be the first step towards help for his addiction. Although that still don't answer who grassed him up in the first place.
