We didn't have a problem in that area last season, so maybe you're just bitter.

Last season was Martinez's first with you. Perhaps the defensive unit and tactics were still a hangover from the Moyes' era?

If you check back, I think that Wigan's defence was "ok" in Roberto's first season there - living off the back of what Steve Bruce had created?

As a previous poster said, defence wasn't his strongest point in Swansea - Sousa sorted that out for us?

Anyway, have a good season and enjoy the Europa League <ok>

That is something that I'd thought about tbh, and it'd hold water if the personnel had changed and they were now his back line, but they're still the same players. I think it's a combination of being overly agressive going forwards i.e. comitting too many bodies, leaving the back line exposed and some horrendous individual errors, which are getting worse by the week as their confidence dips

We were poor today but ended up unlucky not to get anything at the end....Baines has been great with his penalties but that effort today was piss poor any team other than our 1st 11 and we look bad:sad:

Even playing badly it took two world class saves from DDG to keep us from taking three points.

The Penno was poor but he has scored his last 10 so a 90% hit rate is good

Congratulations to Ross Barkley for getting his first ever assist after 48 appearances <applause> #worldclass

He actually does a great job for me on FIFA, very prolific, probably just being held back by your #fraud manager

I can't wait for even the most ****ing idiotic kopite i.e. You - to realise that Rodgers is a bullshitting ****er.

It's going to be beautiful <laugh>

Ah, a clean sheet.

Alcaraz stepped in and performed a great job. His distribution of the ball and work against Benteke was top draw.
