I've asked a number of Tory voters why they are going to vote Conservative. Most of them just told me what they don't like about Corbyn, they don't seem to be able to tell me what they actually want from their party or what's good about it.

Most people can’t just up and leave though can they? Job, family, home? That stands for people earning 80k or 100k as much as anyone.
I'm not really educated in it AR. I was just asking the question. I suppose I was asking do the likes of Amazon etc, constitute being part of the 5% or is it to come form personal taxation of the higher earners and not business.

If the top 5% of tax payers will pay for the proposed Labour spending, two questions, what proportion of overall tax do that 5% contribute to all tax revenue and second, how long before that 5% leave the UK therefore increasing the burden of committed spending to other people...?

Why not Google your first question, and then also realise your second question cannot be accurately answered by anyone.

Or was it that you were just parroting something you've read/heard somewhere?

But why would they suddenly just leave?

It's a lot easier said than done. Even after the tax increase, they'll still take home a lot more than most people. I guess little Tarquin won't be going on that third cruise. I'm sure the single parents living on Bransholme are heartbroken for him.

Ok.

But what else?

There must be more to it than that? Unless you're super healthy and are well above the poverty line.
What about the fact that the majority of the cabinet, including Johnson, have in the past repeatedly voted down withdrawal agreements that would've seen us leave the EU?

It's exactly as you describe it ' The majority of the cabinet'.I mean the first vote was the biggest defeat in history(432-202)for a U.K government.Obviously Johnson wasn't alone in thinking that the deal was duff.Subsequently,2 other votes went against Teresa Mays deal?

For the sake of balance, it needs to be said that Labour have an appreciable number of tribal voters who similarly don't like posh people or 'privileged ' people, a sort of inverted snobbery and subtle brainwashing.

In fact, the Labour Party regularly uses this divisive rhetoric to corral voters back into their pen

2. . He was there as a backbench MP

Listen to what he says & not what the MSM tell you he says.

You've got your views, fair enough. I've got mine
2. I couldn't care less if he was a pantomime dame at the time. If I was invited to say a 'witch burning' event. I'd want to know what I was attending, perhaps when JC went to Tunis he should have asked what was going on. I don't buy the explanation.

JC is the kind of person who would support every team playing England....He'd rather shout for our opponents because he hates patronism and turns his nose up at such displays of sentiment because he sees them as nationalist.

As I've said Labour have some good policies and good people. Sadly JC's the leader. Perhaps he'll get the Arsenal job.

Yet Johnsons deal is by all account worse than May's. So what is so enticing about Johnsons deal now?

The very, very rich, who pay a disproportionate percentage of income tax, and corporations can though. And how many don’t actually pay any income tax, 50%? Of course McDonnell said tax rates for the top few would go up. That doesn’t stop him bringing a lot more into paying income tax, as it was mooted that they would remove the threshold where you start paying tax. Apart from those affected who are working that would affect any pensioner with a private pension, even a very small one. As a pensioner I will be laughing if they get in. Free everything, care, transport, better pensions etc...At least that is the theory. Actuality might be different when other things landed on us are taken into account.

That's just so wrong on so many levels Steven.I have absolutely no problem with people earning in excess of £81k,in the vast majority of cases they've earned the right to that kind of salary. For example hospital consultants/dentists etc put themselves through years of financial hardship to attain the relative qualifications,so why should they be penalised in taxes? As for your Tarquin/Bransholme comment? This isn't class warfare and isn't really necessary!!

But not liking somebody isn't a good enough reason not to vote for a government that'll be in power for the next four years, especially when most of the claims for not liking them are complete horseshit.

I agree that there are some on Labour's side who don't like the rich or the "posh", I'm not a fan of overly wealthy people if I'm being honest. It irks me that some people just can't have enough money.

They're being asked to pay more because they have more. It's exactly the problem, that is. People see it as penalisation, as if they're being punished and their money is just being thrown on a huge bonfire.

It's going back into society to help pay for improvements to things that they themselves use. After all of it, they're still left with thousands of pounds a month, it's not as though it's going to bankrupt them.

It isn't class warfare, but the people on these vast sums of money being outraged at having to pay more tax when really they're still astronomically better off than the majority of the country is laughable.

He knew the event he was attending. I told you what it was. It was the MSM who altered the facts.Do you feel the same way about the others who attended?

He’s more patriotic than all the other Party Leaders. His idea of patriotism is just different to theirs.

Theirs is about flying a flag & singing Rule Britannia whilst selling everything that is British off to the highest foreign bidder at the expense of the poorest & most vulnerable in society.

His is about protecting British assets whilst making sure the poorest & most vulnerable are not left behind & are able to fulfil their potential with the support they need.

Saying you won’t vote Labour because of JC is like saying you won’t have an operation because you don’t like the Doctor.

Voting Conservative because you don’t like JC is like putting dog **** on your pizza because you don’t like pineapple.

Me? I’m quite comfortable & don’t need for much. I’ll be thinking of the most vulnerable people I see on a daily basis & voting for the Party I believe has their best interest at heart & will do what’s best for them.

If Labour were to get enough seats with SNP, Lib Dem, Plaid, Green etc, those other parties could agree to form a coalition as long as there’s a different leader. Though what Lib Dem would do is anybody’s guess.

7% was the last figure I read.

Your 2nd question is idiotic.

It's a real shame nobody has the guts to hold the press to account for their muck spreading. They aren't beyond reproach and while powerful, they should be held to a standard and I really don't think they are. I'm not for censorship of the press, but they seem to be abusing their right to free speech by consistently smearing one side and supporting the other. People need facts during an election period, not persuasive opinions pushing people towards one side or the other.
