In the MP thread, the word assasinaed is used.

Bit of a grey area. Assasination or just murder?

Assassination is a term used to define the targeted murder of a public or political figure, so I guess the term is probably correct.

We're not used to using the word over here because the act itself is so rare in the UK.

Thats why i said it was a grey area. I never said it was incorrect.

Yeah, well the rumours suggest he's a psychotic Brexiter who shouted 'Britain First' at her, before killing her, so that would probably confirm it as an assassination by definition, but until it's confirmed it's just a murder... that's my view anyhow... IMHOOC

Nowt like a bit of pedantic-ness to kick off a Friday Comm.

Words are banded around. Not just assasination. Thats are rare one.

Not really pedantic if I'm just answering Comm's question.

Most done by the Irish. By a group or organisation.

It's just never been a part of the British psyche or tradition I guess, to go bumping off those in power.

Unless you're a king of course, in which case just keep your head on your shoulders.

I meant me and my response, prompted by Comm's question... that's why I wrote 'Comm' after it. Sorry, I can see how you got confused, for the benefit of those who are not me, I will make two separate posts next time.

Ah the Monty Python movies.

Most folk go with Life of Brian. A great movie. But im a Holy Grail fan.

But its only a rabbit.

Runawaaaaay.

Never laughed at it once, it's like comedy for dorks, like that Spaceballs film, I hate that film, Rick Moranus is a **** and so is Star Wars.
