I think those probabilities relate to a 49 ball lottery. I gave up when it became 58 balls as the probability increased to about one in 40 million (?). Then they tried to persuade the public that it was a great idea because "there are more balls you can choose from"!

There would have been 44 different consecutive number combinations:
1,2,3,4,5,6
2,3,4,5,6,7
Etc up to
44,45,46,47,48,49
So the odds of six consecutive numbers would be 14 million approx divided by 44=318000 approx.
Or am I talking total bullocks.
