The quote related to closing during the Fair, it's not about the original need for a gate in the first place.
I’m just grateful that the Allams are doing their bit for counter terrorism during Hull Fair. Going above and beyond, in fact. They deserve our unswerving praise...

You forget to add..........the only way they could do that is by a substantial rent increase for Hull City........ AND Hull FC, so it will never happen.

Not really, the new owner of the SMC may charge rent based on each clubs turnover or an attendance based charge. There are many things the SMC could do different.

Only if the council accept responsibility for and damage or costs or something like that. See the SMC statement a page or two back.
The gate will be open for the duration of the Fair if the council are happy to man it . What's the problem ? They will be plenty of HCC staff on duty for the duration of the Fair.

That's stating the obvious. I was answering the point that 'the only way....etc......was to substantially increase City's rent' I was pointing out that there are two clubs renting the stadium and ( cough) sharing the costs. So increasing City's rent isn't the only way to increase revenue from the stadium and I just cannot see this council ever 'substantially' increasing the rent for Hull FC, so it will never happen. Colin Inglis is having one last blow out before he chucks it, simple as.

Don’t worry lads, those councillors you voted for and whose wages you pay will sort it.

Theyve even got the Pulitzer Prize deserving Burns onside for some quality and positive news stories.

Nobody bailed due to adopting the SMC, all the offers were including the SMC, as obviously anyone owning the club wants control of the stadium.

Isn't that a tad simplistic?

Hasn't it been said by many on here- you too, but might be wrong - that the SMC is a poisoned chalice? Everything I've read about it, especially from the ITKs on here, has tended to give that impression.

Maybe enough of a one to deter buyers or buyers making an acceptable offer? i.e. an offer that valued the club and SMC to the liking of the crackpots.

Anyone looking at buying the club, sans stadium, are capable of talking separately to a ready, willing and able stadium owner looking to offload. Maybe not obvious but certainly not impossible.

It’s funny him claiming anyone would want the stadium when the truth is literally no one wants it. Not even the council.

Just had a terrifying thought.

What happens if the Allams decide to have a walk towards the KC from Argyle Street and find themselves locked out because of 'The Gate'

Would that the lead to calls for ALLAMS IN !!??

Oh ****ing hell, what an awful thought.

Always. ALLAMS OUT!!!

I would say the last thing a new owner of Hull City would want is the SMC owned by the Allams. Just an observation not a real reply to your post.

Exactly. It confines the Allams but seriously confounds the council. There seems to be much known about not a lot. The Allams delight in wrong footing folk.

I would agree, which is why I have not suggested that.
