Don't suppose there are any multi-million/billionaire posters on this board?

The bit that disappoints me is that Katharina lied and sold herself out to someone who quite clearly will not be taking us forward.
I have no issue with being self-sustaining but I’d rather Gao was well out of the picture. Do not trust him.

If children are an investment I'd be interested to know when they pay out.So here we go again Same ole, same ole bullshit.............."I didn't buy the club to fatten it and then sell it" Mr Gao you're clearly not a football fan....so why did you buy the club???????????? You say you don't want to make money out of it.........yet you see it as a child.............Err........ dont we all invest in our children one way or another????????

True but to quote Gao's own words about investing in the club........He did say that the club would need investment to bring it back to where it should be.......Or have I got that wrong?I don't think Kat necessarily lied....things may have just changed. There is the real world and the fairy tale world which fans believe in (despite not living in it themselves). This is business and big money not a board game.

I don't think that there is any evidence yet that Gao means any harm to to club, just that we might not be as ambitious as the fans would like us to be. Prior to Markus taking over most fans were satisfied with our identity as a mid sized, mid range PL club but now lots of fans want us to be the next Citeh or Chelsea.

The danger is that it's very easy to slip from being a low-spending, lower-tier PL club into being a Championship club, and it is becoming very clear that Gao lacks the resources to steady the ship should that happen. If we get relegated at some point in his reign, it could get very ugly, and quickly.
I may be wrong but I don't think that we will struggle next season in the same way that we have in the previous two seasons.

Possibly, but we're hinging our hopes on an ambitious manager who is not likely to stick around long-term at a club whose stated aims are to be a light-spending, mid-tier space-filler. Hasenhuttl might provide us with a reprieve, but this will remain a concern for as long as Gao owns the club.

Haven't we been a self sufficient club for the last 5 years or so? I'd love some big investment, but if the way we operate doesn't change for the worse then it's "business" as usual.
