They have 2 directors of football working all year round behind the scenes working on player recruitment options if they lose a key player. They’ve sold £80m worth of players in the last few years. Re invest half and the squad still improves. They really do look excellent.

I’d be really happy using the Brentford model at City. Unfortunately we have a ****wit owner and a numpty in charge of recruitment.
Nobody tells them etc... interesting about all the stats they work to, but as with last year last minute goals conceded,,

80 million!! Really.
I know what they do and how they do it. But I'm trying to think of any really good players they have sold on.
They seem to be able to get teams to buy their players for good sums mind

Villa undeservedly equalise. ****s.

I think that sums up Villa for most of last season, very rarely did they reach top gear but still finished fourth. Bruce will get them in the top 6 easily.

I won't add anything else to the Brentford love on but I completely agree with you. For a club with limited resources they do absolutely brilliantly, would love to see them in the top six.

I also think Stoke are far too good to be down the bottom, they should be fighting up the top end with the squad they have.

Exactly. Not exactly great players. Yet they get a lot of money for them.
Jota 6 million I think. Not worth it.

Our result against promoted Blackburn doesn’t look so bad now seeing Stoke’s result against a promoted Wigan. Hammered 3-0 at home.

BBC

Boos rang around the Bet365 Stadium at the final whistle after another poor performance from the Potters, who have taken just two points from a possible 12 under Gary Rowett.

Perhaps more worryingly for Rowett, his side failed to register a shot on target in the whole 90 minutes.
