I think that sums up Villa for most of last season, very rarely did they reach top gear but still finished fourth. Bruce will get them in the top 6 easily. I won't add anything else to the Brentford love on but I completely agree with you. For a club with limited resources they do absolutely brilliantly, would love to see them in the top six. I also think Stoke are far too good to be down the bottom, they should be fighting up the top end with the squad they have.
