Cos the mrs told me were aren't common and I can't just throw my clothes on the floor or over the back of a chair and to fight off Vikings obviously.

That's a very telling comment is that.

Subconsciously you took on the role of a poncey, frock wearing Frenchie as opposed to a bearded, burly berserker.

Very telling indeed.

I may as well tell this story here as you'll all probably here about it anyway the way the mrs is going round telling every ****er.

We've been watching Vikings for weeks now. Really enjoyable series. Up to season 4 now. Anyway we watched the siege of Paris last night.
2 in the morning and Im sleep walking, jumped out of bed shouting they're breaking in. I picked Up the metal coat stand in the corner and charged down the stairs fighting them off :emoticon-0111-blush
She's telling everyone.
<laugh> I remember that episode well Chazz, I'd have ****ing laughed if I'd seen you playing your part at two in the morning <laugh>

I've read of all of them as well and they're quality. Love old Bernard Cornwells style of writing.

I thought they started to get a bit repetitive after about the 6th or 7th book and I haven't read the most recent. In general I do like Cornwell's writing. The Warlord Chronicles are my favourite, I am a sucker for anything based around the Arthurian legends.

Not been paying attention to GM recently. Is it due any year soon?

nothing definitive. it's 6 years since the last one. there are all sorts of rumours. one is that it will be announced at the GoT Series 7 premier. Another is that its still a work in progress, and Neil Gaiman has been recruited to help GRRM get it finished.

It's like WoT all over. Bet he dies before its done, like Robert Jordan did.
