The big dosser got what was coming to him. He’s a ****e boxer with a big punch. Like the fat kid on the playground who used to run around swinging his arm in a windmill.

Fury looked frighteningly good though. I reckon he’ll beat Joshua when it comes down to it. Hopefully not in ****ing Saudi Arabia.
 
Geez, bit stunned. All the smart money was on a Wilder win.....From the highlights seen Fury's decision to come forward from the start was a smart move. Dominant. I felt a bit sorry for Wilder he took some punishment in there....Fury vs Josuha...at end of September at White Hart Lane looks on.

I can’t see how the smart money was on a big dosser win???

In the first fight Fury showed the absolute gulf in class and we all know he comfortably won that fight on points. I thought a Fury win was inevitable, I just didn’t expect the aggressive fight plan, I thought he would do similar to Joshua against fat tony and dance around him for 12 rounds. Although I suppose he’s learned he cannot trust the judges.
 
I just hope for the UK fans sake, if AJ Vs Fury happens, that it's in the UK and not in a sandbox somewhere. I've got a feeling Fury would want Vegas though...

Don't disagree, but all the opinions I heard had a wilder win, though one did come from a so called BBC sport correspondent who doesn't know her arse from her elbow.

Right decision either way. No way was he going to come back and the ref had a good look at him before that round started too.

Yeah I noticed that in the replay of the finish, Fury will take AJ to school if hearn let's him fight.

He/his agent hired a top-end public relations and marketing team (the same the Beckham used) after the reprehensible comments he made in 2016, that were entirely in line with what he'd publicly said for years prior to the mental breakdown/drug addiction.. Bellew and Price were called gay plumbers around 2012.. The last few years, the showman personality, the comeback king, the mental illness/drug addiction recovery etc, although not entirely false, are all part of building his name to make him more marketable and profitable. Not sure much of it is his own way, just what he can pull off, make believable and utilise to generate profit.
 
Great stuff from Fury. Put a couple of quid on Fury in 5, 6 or 7 too so made a little profit.

The moment Wilder's eardrum were ****ed so were his chances. Fury had it spot on.

He'll beat AJ should they meet. He's too good.

As the Heavyweight champion he's going to make a ton of money whatever , the most important thing is what happens in the ring
 
While AJ showed in his last fight he is learning .. Fury has shown twice now how to handle guys others couldnt beat .. first Klitchko now Wilder .. he is a smart boxer who out thinks his opponents .. his lead up to all fights is about getting between their ears .. and he is mighty successful at it .. AJ v Fury ? Never bet against a Pikey when it comes to a scrap .. simples

Correct. He had a steroid ban hanging over him along with getting caught taking cocaine. What better way to sweep it under the carpet then claim depression in this more understanding and educated modern age regarding mental illness?
I have no doubt he has had his struggles. He’s obviously a very complex character, but it was spun very well and he came out of it a lot better than he would have done had it been a few years earlier.

As for the fight, fury was outstanding. Smartest heavyweight out there by some distance. I’d make him favourite against AJ but it won’t be a walk in the park. Wilder is possibly the least technically gifted heavyweight champion ever. He just had the Most devastating power in the history of the division. Fury nullified that with ease. AJ has a lot more ring craft than wilder but not nearly as much as fury. Hope they don’t drag it out for years. Only the fans lose in that scenario. Also what’s being forgotten in all the talk of skipping a third fight with wilder and unifying against AJ is poor Dillian Whyte, poor bastards been mandatory for that WBC belt since god was at school.

Not to be objectionable or piss on anyone's chips, just thoughts to extend the debate.

It's modern era boxing - he wouldn't have been in the ring had he not been marketed/the cult created around him. He wouldn't have been fighting in Vegas with a cocaine conviction, that you or I would have received had we not had lawyers/managers to explain it away. On top of public comments that would have seen most sacked from their position.

He's without doubt one of the best heavyweights in the world right now and I'm not disputing this, but he's the lead figure in a carefully managed career over the last few years, developed to maximise profits for all in the machine, which is losing viewers and cash to MMA.

Boxing viewing figures and PPV monies are as healthy as they’ve ever been. I don’t understand the whole boxing is losing out to UFC myth. I’m a boxing fan but I enjoy watching an decent UFC card whenever ones on. Seems like fans of each sports default is to dislike the other. Think it’s easy to enjoy both. Boxing for the purist and MMA for the sheer brutal madness of it.
