Interesting also that Adams made that comment about 'following instructions'. Suggests some players hadn't been. My personal guess is Snodgrass.

Pure speculation on my part, I concede that. What does seem more than speculation is the idea that he slows the game down because of his lack of speed and that far too many of our attacks go through him. I can see that he works hard and he's more than ready to take responsibility - and that's great - but for a long time I've felt that he needs a strong-willed manager who will put him in his place from time to time.

OK, shoot me down. :)

On the contrary .....'.......

I agree that he needs a manager that will tell him whats what every now an then. But I still think he's too important a player to drop. His lack of pace can be a problem but if we just try not to push counter attacks through him it shouldn't be a problem. Also, if we have more of an attacking game plan than "get it to the wings and lets see what happens, He might be able to move the ball around a bit quicker.

Ruddy
Martin Yobo Bassong Olsson
Tettey Howson
Redmond Snodgrass Pilkington
RvW/Hooper

I like that DH, but I'd still play Bassong simply because Turner has been out for so long. I'd love to try Snodgrass in the middle (possibly even in a free-role type thing). Also, either Hooper or RvW, I can't quite choose.

Ryan Bennett isn't injured is he ? Nobody else has mentioned him and it seems to be a choice between Bassong and Turner. I personally wouldn't pick Bassong after last Saturday, he was absolutely shocking and I'd like to see the calming influence and experience of Yobo alongside Bennett for the Fulham game.

I generally rate Bennett, but for me, he has been poor in his last few appearances (the losses to Cardiff, Saints, and Swansea).

You're right though, Bassong hasn't been great lately either.

He's fit according to Physio room:

Norwich City 3
L Fer Hamstring Injury 12th Apr 14

M Turner Hamstring Injury 12th Apr 14

E Bennett Knee Injury 20th Apr 14

I think that's a really good shout, I think Bassong has been inconsistent all season, wonder if Fer will be fit, all I can think of is the free kicks he gave away though, but I think a lot of that was frustration.

My 1st choice line up would be
Ruddy
Martin Turner Bennett Olsson
Johnson
Snodgrass Tettey Redmond
Howson
Hooper
I think we have missed Bradders and he could play
in front back4.
Howson was awful on Sat,due to where he played,
he was alongside the 2 CH most of game. His best
position is a free roll, supporting CF.

£35 + £1.25 booking fee if you get it from the club direct, £35 + £8.50 booking fee if you get it from that Viagogo.co.uk website <yikes>

Yeah I saw that - outrageous. Could have got a ticket virtually on the halfway line for cheaper (albeit amongst fulham fans...)

No, why what's he been up to? I just get the feeling he is one of those that Hootun didn't fancy, and also get the feeling that Neeyul will.

My understanding is Pilks has a chronic injury (shin splints I think) which leaves him playing in pretty constant pain and struggles to train consistently. As such I doubt very much he will play Saturday as if we're trying to develop anything it will require all hands on deck.
I like the idea of redmond right, josh left with Snoddy roaming. Could be exciting to watch.

Whilst I do totally agree with this, he was man of the match against Sunderland when he was sat deep, just in front of our back four for most of the game alongside Tettey. Even though we won the game I hated seeing the pair of them sat back on the halfway line when we mounted an attack, I hardly saw him in the final third at all that game, and despite that he was definitely the best player on the pitch.

It was infuriating when we Howson was just hanging about despite the fact Sunderland were camped on the edge of their area with 10 men! I can only imagine that was manager instruction because there's no way Howson would have been holding off if he was free to move forward. Martin and Snodgrass were passing it around for fun, all he had to do was run into that space, we'd have probably scored 2 more like that.
