Final insult; tried to withdraw the last few bob from my betfair account, to prevent me being tempted into squandering it on some nonsense this weekend. Got the following message - due to our anti money laundering policy, you are currently unable to transfer funds to this card. Wtf?

This happens to me all the time with them, its because you've probably added a new card and are trying to withdraw money that you deposited with a different card.

I only ever have this problem with Betfair, never had it with any other firms.

Basically, they balance all of the card deposits so you withdraw back to the original sources where possible.

So for example, if you have 700 quid in the account, but you put 500 in on your Barclays Bank card and 200 on your lloyds, you would only be able to put 200 back in your lloyds count until you put 500 back in barclays.

If one of those old cards has expired, get on live chat to them to explain and they will go through options. Might need to scan your ID and send to them electronically to verify yourself.

Just wanted to say thank you to the mods for the effort they put in to maintaining this place, previews, running comps and threads such as 'The Cheltenham Festival Mega Thread" Christ, that's a vast wealth of info!!

This forum really is a one stop shop for everything you need to know and the knowledge of the posters is second to none. What isn't known here, isn't worth knowing.

Special mention to Attivo for the work he puts in with the daily threads - top drawer, all of you <cheers>

Well I guess that's it folks. Happy Christmas

<laugh>

What they really mean is "we haven't made as much money as we expected to"

Right, who's going round with the hat?
