Celtic was my game of choice last night, yet again Forster was outstanding, I've watched him playing several times, no way was his performance a 'One Off'.
Forster thoroughly deserves all his accolades, he deserves to be playing first team football, and he's not only getting that at Celtic, but European experience as well!

It's also gained him recognition with Roy Hodgson and he could be getting his first cap against Sweden next week (according to the internet, anyway).

Never said the spl teams were better than the epl teams , yes your top 5/6 teams are good ( so they should be with the money sky gives them but the the other 13/14 are awful considering the money they get off sky .Remember we Scottish club get No tv money , can you imagine the standard of English football without tv money

It's all about competition pal. Your league does not provide it. Wigan beating say a Man U is not as big a shock as any SPL team beating Celtic. Our league is way more competitive.

Rod must have thought it was a good game.

Rod Stewart could not contain himself and wept tears of joy at Parkhead on Wednesday.

The big tart!

I did not know this, I had no idea that Scottish clubs receive no Sky money, seems unfair, does this apply to European games as well as league games, what's the set up with ESPN, they seem to show a fair amount of Scottish football?

A. Forster is a very good keeper;

B. We didn't make a mistake in selling him.

Krul is also a very good keeper. We couldn't have kept both him and Forster - - neither would have taken over Harper's role as the best keeper to have never really played very much.

We had to let one of them go. I'm happy with Krul. Ideally we could have got more than £2 million, but it was always difficult selling to a team that he has been at for 2 years, and with his contract expiring.

Good luck to him. No regrets

I wonder who Rod Stewart will be supporting if Celtic do get through to the knock out stages and get drawn against Viagra FC.

I'd wager we may see a stiff upper lip instead of tears.

Well said Freddd, hmmm that sounds like a song, anyway rep for the comment.

Great to see him doing well, only way we could have kept him is if we played two in nets.

Question, who was the last Northumbrian to get an England cap? Trevor Steven in the 80s?

We've known all along that both Krul and Forster would become top keepers and at the time, it was definitely more noticeable that Krul was a better all round keeper. Krul's performances and reputation was growing more and more especially with the Dutch U21 and when you compare to that of Forster, it was a no brainer by the management.Forster has definitely improved but it was quite noticeable that he was still lacking an all round game at Norwich. Even if we wanted him to stay, the lure of first team football was something Fraser wanted and it wasn't going to happen at the toon.

Did we make a mistake selling Forster? The answer is NO....

This is so true and obvious yet so many fans forget or argue that it isn't.

Money equals success in football. Sad but true.
