Actually we can afford the time for him to shrug off his ring rustiness, none of our other strikers are hitting the net regularly so adding him to the list won't make any difference. Also David Meyler has got better and better with us so if we see quality, we are prepared to be patient. .
Truth about Campbell is he should have stayed with us when we were promoted to the Prem last time. As you have suggested, that would have been by far the best progression of his career and would probably have gone on to be a lot more successful, not necessarily with us, but maybe with another club after a season or so of top flite experience. Instead a combination of him being used as a political porn and his father's ill-advice, led him down another path.
It would take me a lot to cheer him again but signing him once more woul surely benefit the club.
Yeah, being farmed out to Spurs was utterly pointless for the lad, he came to us and looked willing if not great, Bruce used him as a kinda right attacking midfielder for a while, and he was very good, then when he got a run up top he scored a few goals in a run and started to really look the part with Bent pre injury.
It was so innocuous the injury as well, almost identical to Meylers, a twist, but you could see instantly it was a bad one.
The lad is so determined that I'm convinced he will get back to standard, he's not too old, and he's never looked as if the injury has hampered him as such, more that he's never had the chance of a run of games.
The fact that he's had 13 appearances, albeit not starts, shows that MON feels he is worthy of consideration, I'd love to see the lad move to a decent Championship club, and get back to the Premier and make a mark.
I've seen you lads a lot, and the way you play could work for a quick off the shoulder player like Frazier, he's always looked good with the one touch stuff as well, so on that basis he suits your style of play this season.
I guess it's up to Bruce, but I do think if you offered 750k or thereabouts, we'd do a deal. Can't see a loan which is in effect a free transfer.
