That is my feeling too re Championship, sadly. Although Smug’s point the other day re ‘slight Change’ in stance in relation to them not wanting to see us drop any further...gave me hope to them stepping in sooner to save us.

We just have to hope for a resumption to give us a chance of the play-offs this year. Such a shame we conceded that last minute goal against Gillingham and the defeat at Rochdale. Fine margins indeed.

I just can’t see Donald authorising signings such as Maddison and Enobakhare, sadly.

Just to reiterate, and this is info not opinion, FPP don't want to let things slide, see Donald default and end up with a total rebuild.

That info has come from someone in the American's camp so I know I can trust it. However, if Donald insists on clinging on there's nothing they can do. Only an acceptance or a default, from him, can bring in FPP.

What you have to remember, and I'm rambling here, is that if FPP come in it would be a massive shock to our system. The club would be picked up and shook until all the dust fell out.

I have a contact I've mentioned to people on pm, who I regard as a barometer of their intentions, who made a bit of a rash, imo, investment in a chunk of land between Sheepfolds and the metro station. He knows one of the FPP 'team' and seems quite optimistic atm which I'm taking as a good sign which, as I invested a big lump of my savings in his company, I'm quite pleased about.

I think, however, that may colour my views on how likely it is that FPP will take over. At one time, when I was on my high horse on RTG, I'd been told this was a done deal and only some hidden 'black hole' could upset the apple cart. I believed that, as Short had 'cleared the debt' I was on safe ground and wanted to give everyone the good news. What a **** up that turned out to be, **** **** ****.

Now we're all back in the same ****tyvpuckin boat hoping Donald ****s off and Fuhrman puts his original plan into effect. I'm currently on the top arch of the Wear Bridge wondering whether to have a jump or toss mesel off <laugh>

Sorry, Mrs Smug decided we'd finish working in the garden and have a few cans of 86.

**** it, off to the Pyrenees tomorrow. Leaving first thing and getting into the nostv isolated area then spending the night in the back of the Transit with the doors open. The locals are going ballistic about the amount of wolves and bears killing their sheep. What a way to go, eaten alive by a ****ing geet bear <laugh>

mate don’t jump off the bridge today, I’m on call all day :)
Day by day the situation for Donald is getting worse, I think he last chuck of his round dice is we somehow manage to blah a play off spot and go up through that. If we don’t then the pressure will be cranked right up

On a different topic, I’ve just been shown on a video call what’s allegedly our new kits.

Sadly, they are based on a template but with a round collar with piping and look very smart, he wouldn’t allow me to picture.

There’s some bright yellow shirts as well, unclear if they were an away kit or potential training gear.

All, interestingly, were sponsor free at this stage.

Is this it

Hope it's not thin stripes again

Stripes on that look about right in comparison. I’d live them to be the 2 away mind they look decent, but there were yellow shirts.

Love that they’ve got Nike SB branding (use of word Nike) rather than just the swoosh.

Many won’t care but that’s a detail, but would mean bespoke, and would mean kits I was shown weren’t the ones.

‘team wear’ kits are swoosh only. I’m a Nike guy ha.

Thanks for that, Smug. Enjoy your trek into the wilderness mate.

Looks a smart strip if that is the new design but I probably won’t buy it if it has the all white back and a sticker logo. I know it’s cheaper to manufacture but I do miss the embroidered club crest on our shirts. The club should do a premium version of strip which still has this, in my opinion.
