If it’s not null and void or delayed until it’s playable, it’s open season for legal challenges.
I really can’t see the point of declaring the season, then as soon as it’s safe pick it up. No huge need for a end of season recess as the players will have had months off already. A month would be more than enough.
If it’s ppg then I hope we are involved in any legal challenge, There’s 20 odd points to play for and as much as our form dipped over the past 4 games previous to that we were flying.
Anything can happen, we can’t be stuck down here for another season, any opportunity to get out of it needs to be taken

PPG is 'promotion by Pools Panel' <doh>

As bad as it looks, we are only 2 wins away from an automatic spot, with a lot of games between the top clubs still to be played. Coventry look to have tied up one spot, but at the moment the other automatic spot could easily go to any of the remaining top 8. That’s why it should be either continued later or voided.
Agreed but only one win in the previous 5?

Anyway, don't get me wrong I'd love the chance to complete the season as it will always be regarded as 2019/20 the what if season for SAFC and many other clubs.

Has anyone got any faith that, even if we did play it out, we’d go up?

None here sadly, we are an abysmal side without match winners. Individuals win you the playoff semis. We haven’t any bar Maguire (who admittedly got us past Pompey last season..).

If it’s off, I don’t believe we’ve lost out, it’s ****, but it’s probably reality.

How long does it take to prepare the fixtures for next season?
It seems to be at least a month after the season before they're issued usually.
It's a complicated business.
So if the season doesn't end until August you're talking about next season being delayed a couple of months beyond its usual start date.
It's a huge shame for Liverpool, Leeds and many others, but people are dying and in danger and the only sensible solution is to void the season.

Nope ,two our our last four games were defeats.

We were in poor form. Yep, we could have gone on an unbeaten run. But, as were 7th and not 4th for example, I'm not arsed if the season was voided at all.

We could go straight in and argue teams above us got to play a massively weakened Bolton.

I haven’t checked back but I’m confident if they stripped out Bolton’s results to remove that anomaly we’d be in playoff place.

They were getting done 5 every week by time we played them they’d brought in 13 players.
Couldn’t be arsed to do the full season but the top 7 looks like this if the first Bolton game was taken out but gives and idea:

Cov 66
Oxford 60
Fleetwood 60
Rotherham 59
Sunderland 58
Portsmouth 57
Peterborough 56

Fleetwood lost to them and us, Oxford and Coventry drew. The other 3 won

Solid argument on our part then.

If there is promotion and relegation between Premiership and Championship then it has to happen in lower leagues, or the courts will truly start to become busy....But as many have said, Football is totally irrelevant right now

There are only 3 questions for me atm.

  1. Will SAFC be sold
  2. How many clubs will fold
  3. What form will the Mag protests take when the PL refuse the takeover

1. Yes
2. Unfortunately this could get into double figures
3. Absolutely ****ing nailed on, ld love it, love it. (In a keeganeske voice)

If the skunks sale does not go through to the sand pit inhabitants, it will not be cos of the obvious reasons for being unsuitable ie they are barbaric and medieval in torture and killings, plus their attitude to women and gays is prehistoric plus of course no democracy.

It will be because they flout TV copyright, costing the paymasters of the Premium league many shekels ... who may therefore hold back and cut funding!

There’s a very viable US consortium interested in them as well mind.

Would be clean and would be looking at it in the same was as Liverpool owners, part of a sporting group.

That would be a very strong takeover for them, and give them a massive turnover boost in the US that the Saudi’s wouldn’t.

They could then spend more money as it ‘v turnover’

We may mock this one falling through and get a rather sharp toe peg clean in the knackers.
