If that is true we are well and truly f ucked. This guy is systematically wrecking our club. For the future of Sunderland AFC I hope all people who are thinking about buying season cards, don't.... That will hasten his exit
i think methven was in the car with his wife and bairn, and was getting abusive texts from fans. somehow got word to bob and passed on the numbers. bob posted one of the numbers and asked folk to stop the abuse. i think.
Nobody knows how they got his number, maybe through people who he gave his number out to when they first came in. As I said nobody knows how
Can look at this in two ways, we're ****ed if he's staying on or that he's actually accepted fpp price and has stopped looking. I'm hoping for the latter.

All the abuse, threats, etc, didn't bother me either, I can handle a bunch of Internet weirdos and self obsessed Mods.
I've only posted this latest 'news' because its true but also to counter what seems, on occasion, to be opinions put forward as fact that FPP have gone and we're stuck with Donald.
There's a suggestion from some, that Donald will sail through this, can easily ride out this financial situation and come out smiling.
The facts are that he'll now lose at least half a million, with the season being ended, plus looking at a huge black hole if we ever start playing again. He's lost money, momentum, credibility and the support of the fans. We'll be starting another L1 season with no advantages over other clubs but without the faith of the support. We also have an owner who's failed twice and, possibly, a manager who's failed once.
I've no idea why Donald would want to stay in all honesty.
He'd be out of here in a shot imo. His skin's no where near as thick as Ashley up the road.

These are very clever business men. They'll be very patient about it all.
We get booted in the nuts time after time following this club. These owners have taken it to another level. Donald and co are finished. Their time is surely up here.

Sadly this is in line with what I've heard previously, that he thinks we will actually be in a decent position compared to others as a result of the pandemic and thinks this is another chance to use it to his advantage, get us up and then sell for the price he wants. What I can't understand if that's his plan is why they've ****ed up the season card thing so much, getting that revenue is the main reason he thinks we'll be fine. When he seemed less arsed about it and actually gave people a reason to cancel, I thought maybe things had changed and he knew he was going. The whole attitude and tone doesn't make sense if he's staying. God knows what's going on
People think he's worse off than he is. There's this myth that he only has about £8m personal wealth or something, which is completely ludicrous.
£500k is nothing unfortunately. He is banking on everyone else in L1 being hit much harder and us being able to hoover up good talent from this league and even the Championship. Wages will be suppressed and he sees that to his benefit.

So the plan may be is that we are ****ed but just not as ****ed as other league one clubs. We cant fail!

Pretty much. Thinks he's done a good job of reducing costs, thinks we'll still continue to support in large numbers (in person or through streams), thinks a higher % of our already much higher fan numbers will provide revenue (other clubs in this league are sometimes boosted because fans of bigger clubs go to watch them when their team is away, but they're unlikely to buy streams), thinks that gives him another chance to get us up and get the money he wants. If he managed I wouldn't mind but I've got no faith whatsoever in him and his merry band of ****wits managing it. I think he'll just end up putting us even further back.
He's given up any pretence about caring for the club or the fans now mind, was obviously all an act, and his "I'll go when I'm not wanted" is just yet another lie. He's got to go
Basically Marra aye. Think I might buy a football club. I talk a load of s****, I'm skint so couldn't buy any players, but could finance that by getting rid of anyone who had a clue and replace them with a few of the other pi**heads out of the Bell bar who also haven't got a clue but will do the job for a bottle of wine and a bag of monster munch. My good self and the Gnu squad would welcome all to the boardroom , Blue Bell bar, as we,d have rented out original boardroom to fund our annual p*** up to Crimdon Dene.

Now has to be the time for FFP to come out with their intentions or walk away, The whole thing is a noose around our neck with no-one really knowing what the situation is. Is today just a play by Donald to try and sniff out more interest or try and hurry FFP along? I have no idea but the life is being drained away on this club.
