Didn't he have his tongue up that mad bobs hoop over whatever he reckoned was gonna happen in the paper?
Pretending he had a PM.

Lads a knacker...
Yep. Somebody questioned Vauxie just now and MadBob jumped in and said the lad who’d asked the question was a “good lad” so Vauxie gave him an answer. I’m sure it was the same person having a fake conversation with themselves. I’m probably gunna be a marked man now and get a cyber hiding next time I go on

Or two people who think they are "having a joke" by going on like that so just both going long with made up bull **** pretending it's true and only they know.

It's play ground **** and pathetic especially considering we are all adults on their well I presume the majority of us are... you'd not think that by the way the majority go on though!

That's fair enough, you're entitled to say that just as I was entitled to my opinion.

I'd be interested to know what it was you found disrespectful.

Nothing I said had anything to do with his sexuality which a few people couldn’t seem to grasp.

My point would've been equally valid irrespective of sexuality, race, creed or colour.

No doubt if he'd been black some would immediately latch onto that and see things with 'racism blinkers'.
Listen people think what they think I get that I’m not thought police but as a job I work with a lot of people who struggle through circumstance. I also have a son who has let’s say some quirks and difficulties and has suffered a lot of bullying. I think it’s important people respect the bravery of people opening up and facing the media and the hatred of the world and should be respected. As I say it matters to me I haven’t always been like this but spending time with people who are different and understanding their journey as a human makes you or made me less judgmental and hash and I thought you were being harsh on him and others and maybe those who think like me.
I didn’t get involved by the way that night and didn’t report you or anything like that but I thought you could have respected other perspectives more. I’m also not saying you deserved a massive ban or whatever happened. Or that you deserve the **** you get now. Even if you were misguided or misled who gives a ****e in the big scheme of things !!

"I thought you could have respected other perspectives more."

And there you have it in a nutshell.

The people who instantly, and relentlessly, attacked me didn't respect my opinion did they?

I was making a general point about the modern trend of public weeping and simply used the latest example to make the point.

Yet there are people who are too biased and bigoted to even consider another point of view.

I haven’t attacked you have I ? I do know where you’re coming from especially where it feels staged. I think to put this thing in context though he was telling the media because the media were about to break the story anyway and he had no choice and I think I’d find it tough telling the world out loud thankfully I’m not in his shoes - I think if I’m going to greet which I do occasionally - my instinct is to do it away from people. He kind of had that choice taken away from him. Telling people something personal can be an emotional thing.

I’m just respectfully putting my point across mate. I just don’t want to run over there and bitch from a distance because it doesn’t feel right and it’s pointless. There are good people on RTG as well as some weirdos mind as there are on here.

Wonder if this virus could force the club into their hands?

As will be racking up debt and no match day revenue.

I havent attacked you either mate, perhaps the tone comes across badly on the internet ...

... no offence intended.

The thing is I know the context, why he did the interview, etc. I have no problem with any of that, none whatsoever.

My point had nothing to do with any of that.

It was entirely about the propensity, these days, for people to cry in order to emphasise a point, celebrate an achievement, whatever.

Nor do I have a problem with all the posters on RTG, I have many real life mates who post ...

... but I do have a problem with people who can only see my comments as homophobic simply because of Thomas's sexuality.

In my opinion that's quite bigoted.

If I'd used Barrack Obama, as an example of public weeping, I've no doubt some would've seen that as racist ...

... or pretended to because they're internet weirdos.

I'm with you on this one like mate.

It's almost as if it's a popular trend thing to do now to post a video of yourself crying on the internet...

**** off man aye feel for you but no need just attention seeking.

The thing about Gareth Thomas, same with Bruce Jenner, is that whilst it is totally normal to think WTF, imagine how desperate you must have been to have to do that - given that no one would do it out of choice. Then imagine living trying to bottle that desperation up for decades. Yes it is ****ed up but it’s tragic for them and the people around them.

I couldn't agree more mate.

It's different to being black because you can't hide it.

It's sad that, at a time when most people are ambivalent to sexuality, football players still feel the need to do it.

As binmen and shelf stackers are happy to 'come out' I can only assume its primarily a financial decision, which is a little sad.

I used Thomas, as the example, simply because he'd had two subsequent episodes where he'd burst into tears. He was then invited onto the breakfast news and was in bits again.

On RTG I said that I prefer my 'role models' to be more like Mandela or Ghandi who can be passionate, sincere and empowering without having a box of tissues to hand.

I'd have thought I was as entitled as anyone to an opinion ...

... but apparently not according to weirdos on the internet.

You have to ask yourself why.

He 'wants to empower people' ...

... no problem with that mate, I just don't think this is the way to do it.

That may make me a knuckle dragging dinosaur but it doesn't make me homophobic.

Glad you put that up

I now know who he is

Damn just seen Gordon Armstrong's post
