Cheers mate.

It's quite funny that, as soon as there's any sign of FPP taking over, there's a hysterical flurry of abuse about me on RTG.

It's sad but there are people so desperate for me to have been wrong they'd happily see it all fall apart.

If it actually happens they'll either vanish or come out with the usual 'no one's more pleased to be wrong than me blah blah blah <laugh>
The couple who are banging on about you being a liar can't seem to grasp the definition of what a lie actually is.

Sima of all people has bought up a post of yours from 2018 as evidence that your a liar ffs.

I reckon a large number of the posters on there are as thick as the average Thai politician, who knows nothing about international law, believes that there is only one country on earth and thinks that the world is flat!

Sadly, he doesn't have to search for them.

When I've argued with him he's quoted them so quickly it's obvious he has everything copied. I know that's true because he once quoted something the Mods had instantly deleted <laugh>

He was on there all night until this morning and only commenting on me, nothing to do with the thread subject.

He's back on there again today with the same agenda, the epitomy of an Internet weirdo.

Does that mean that people from Sunderland don't actually eat cheesy chips and drink blue pop then? <confused> I'm confused now.
They do but mags reckon only people in Sunderland do, yet all over the country eat them.

Can you post a link to this mate?..

Would be a funny read!

Excuse this interruption, I just need to answer the usual clique on RTG.

I was told FPP were taking over imminently and shown proof.
(As was the BBC, ALS, Jack Ross, etc.)

I posted that and, when questioned, felt so confident I offered a bet of £1000 to anyone accusing me of lying.

Not one of them dared accept the bet, but are happy to call me a liar today ...

... as we all know, the takeover hasn't yet happened but it might still.

I wasn't lying, I posted exactly what I'd been told.

Yes I was very excited about it but that makes me neither a liar or bullshitter. I've no history of being ITK because it's never been the case.

On this occasion I was given first hand info which may still be correct, only the date would've been incorrect.

If people think I was doing anything but passing on exciting news that's their problem, I don't have one.
FWIW I had no issue about your takeover comments and people like a witch-hunt - it ruins the other board at times - but I thought your rugby player comments were disrespectful. Just being straight and honest.

That's fair enough, you're entitled to say that just as I was entitled to my opinion.

I'd be interested to know what it was you found disrespectful.

Nothing I said had anything to do with his sexuality which a few people couldn’t seem to grasp.

My point would've been equally valid irrespective of sexuality, race, creed or colour.

No doubt if he'd been black some would immediately latch onto that and see things with 'racism blinkers'.

That’s the thing about these “ism’s”, there is always someone eager to get offended on someone else’s behalf, no matter what. It’s like it makes them think they are better than most. NOTE: not necessarily in reference to your post as I never read it or the responses.

Fair points mate.

I posted a thread about Gareth Thomas and chose my words very very carefully.

I know there are people who automatically go on the attack at the slightest mention of their 'pet subject'. There are people, on RTG, who become absolutely hysterical if you criticise London in any derogatory way.

My point about Thomas was how I'm becoming increasingly weary of people crying on TV and being praised for it.

IMO we're teaching our children that crying over your Gran gets you to the next stage of BGT or means you care more about whichever celebrity has just croaked.

I made the point that I prefer icons/spokesmen/figureheads to be passionate, open and sincere without blubbing every time a camera is pointed at them ...

... this all seemed to start with people throwing themselves onto the pavement sobbing that one of the Royal Family had died.

I'm not against crying, the NHS applause cracked me the other day, I just don't like the concept of 'tears as a device'.

Thomas's sexuality had absolutely nothing to do with the point I was making.

I couldn't agree more with the emboldened text mate.

My view is that those who do that are insecure idiots, who can't cope with living in the real world!

I remember your posts well Smug and can honestly say i saw nothing homophobic about them. Some certainly tried to turn them that way.

Crying because you're HIV positive is something that i believe would be done in private, by all means spread the word however, there are those who have done it with dignity rather than looking for sympathy, Magic Johnson for one.

He 'wants to empower people' ...

... no problem with that mate, I just don't think this is the way to do it.

That may make me a knuckle dragging dinosaur but it doesn't make me homophobic.

I posted on a Corona Virus thread which was focussing on the different percentage of people affected by it by race. I said it was interesting that only 1.5% of those affected were mixed race and that some believe that is because the mixing of genes makes people stronger. Someone said that’s a view a racist would have. I had to point out a racist probably wouldn’t advertise that mixing of races produces stronger offspring!
Back on topic Vauxie has rather absent mindedly said it doesn’t look like anyone is close to a takeover....or similar words.

Didn't he have his tongue up that mad bobs hoop over whatever he reckoned was gonna happen in the paper?
Pretending he had a PM.

Lads a knacker...
