For all the good Amorim has done for you, or lack thereof, you may aswell have kept ETH until the end of the season then got Amorim this summer, as was originally planned I think.

If this is the case, and I missed the creative defined style that we'd been playing so unsuccessfully this last decade, then yeah, Amorim is the wrong man because he doesn't fit that style, whatever the **** it was.
The actual truth is this - previous managers bought ****e players to fit into no pattern whatsoever and now Amorim and the new board need to go about replacing them.

To the issue of performance -
None of the previous managers would have done this poorly. Evidently all of them did far better in league games, including ETH. This is not even a position that is subject to debate as you’re effectively defending what is indefensible.
Even Amorim knows he is failing himself. No need for useless social media validation.
You claim to know so much about football and go on making that kind of claim. For starters, and without going into crazy analysis, it is clear that Slot plays a more controlled tempo type of football compared to Klopp’s gengen high press football.
So no! The two styles by the managers couldn’t be any more different. This is why I firmly believe Liverpool would have fallen short this season if Klopp was still on charge. After all, Slot played with the exact team Klopp had in his last year, with the added constraint of many of being in their last year on contracts, one year older, etc.
BTW, this is by no means to discredit Klopp. He was a fantastic manager and absolutely the best motivator. But the point is to show that a new manager can come in and solidly build on the work of the last manager without spending a dime.
Liverpool did choose Slot because his preferred set up was very similar to JK's and the main difference being a preference for more control of matches therefore the squad he inherited would not need a radical overhaul which heaven forfend might have required FSG to lob some money into LFC.

I have always been against the excessive spending in the name of rebuilding the team, which just never worked. It is never a sustainable model. Ratcliffe said as much to this. If you look at Madrid, they have completely transformed their transfer strategy through long-term planning, which has resulted in them acquiring the players they want with only salaries as liability.
Nonetheless, we at United are now in a new era, and I believe Ratcliffe understands what needs to be done from a business perspective. He has made unpopular and difficult decisions along the way. Still, he has also set out an excellent path for the future, starting with the infrastructure project, which would have never happened under the Glazers. From that perspective, the club's future is somewhat secure, but not without a few more years of grinding.

Stupid post! You finally found one team that used the formation is as many local games and you’re jumping up as though it somehow vindicates the point. Funny that you said the right players. We do have the players!
Importantly, it is one thing having a system, it is another thing ensuring such system is suited to the team. A system is not the end. It is a means to an end! If the end can’t be achieved, the system will need to change.
Moreover, Amorim‘s system has worked best when playing top sides. We can see that in results. That does not make it a one size fits all. This is precisely where adaptability comes in. Amorim telling the press that he’d never change the system demonstrated his naivety that effectively played into all league managers’ hands.
