Probably Thai or Malaysian as my favorite, but I do also love anything in a pie, and when you're by the coast fish and chips is a must.

My father in law, since he retired, has been raising Dexter cattle as a hobby, and you get a very nice steak out of those.

Cattlemans in Harrogate do a 96oz steak challenge. A 72oz steak and then chips, onion rings, salad etc to make up the rest. Takes some bloody doing. Kid from Durham managed it in 17 minutes which in my opinion is bloody good going. Whether he actually tasted it or not I'm not so sure.

I'd finish that easy. Struggle with the salad. <laugh>

Ask me if I would choose a country to live in (and never leave, only eating that cuisine) and I'd have to chose Italy. Pastas and pizzas galore

Indian and Mexican food is amazing - had the best curry of my life in Mumbai when a friend took me to his local restaurant

If I'm cooking then Filet Steak done with dauphinoise potatoes, griddled corn and roasted green beans is hard to top. I do a mean lasagne too

Wish I liked Seafood (I've tried loads) but we never had it growing up as my Dad claimed to hate fish (he's never tried it)

With you on that one. Love Italian cuisine. Been there quite alot over the years, food is more than a meal time to them.

Absolutely. It's a major part of the day. Had the best carbonara of my life many years ago in Rome. Stumbled across a bar near Piazza Navona close to midnight Place was full of locals and the waiter was happy to serve despite the late hour. Wife and I shared a plate of carbonara and a bottle of white. Was immense

Are there any vegans or vegetarians on this forum, I love it all but I find it hard just to knock up a quick vegan they take some effort.

My daughter cooks some vegan dishes and I try them all. My favourite is her Black Bean Chilli Stew, It's just about the perfect bowl of food, great flavour and a warm aftertaste from the chillies.

I still enjoy meat but I only eat it as a treat these days, veggie and vegan food is so easy to digest. A lot of red meat isn't too good for you in the long term.

Had a night out with my mate who lives near Leicester, and ended up in Narborough road (Indian Street) and we were going for a curry, anyway bumped into his mate in the Oasis pub, and his mate wouldn't let us go to a restaurant, he called his missus and said we'd be be back at their place in 3 hrs, said she was a better cook than all of these places, and he was right. Best Indian food I've ever had, nearly all vegatarian, ( because she explained that their family could never afford meat) but she did loads of dishes, all ****ing beautiful, never heard of any of them on a menu here, but simply gorgeous food, and she reckoned it cost her less than 20p per dish to produce. Best food experience I've ever had.

Hi mate I just gave this company a try the are from Cornwall and they are grass fed from local Cornish farms, they have them on offer every now and again and they are on at the moment, they are reduced to £10 at the minute and del fresh to your door packed in ice bags. The company is called meat supermarket, Haha I know it sounds a bit dodgy but it’s not.
Nah its sound mate we have contacts all over the world through this forum. I'm sure @PINKIE can vouch for this company...

Hope you're keeping well Rooch <ok>

Don't mind a bit of seafood in garlic & butter. It's weird that for an island nation we seem to export the best of our shellfish.

I love all sea food but some times what puts me off is it’s fiddly, you can’t just get stuck in<laugh>

I pretty much eat anything except Tofu (If they make cat litter out of it i'm not eating it)

Love Thai, Indonesian and Malaysian as well as Indian. Mexican in our house is at least once a fortnight.

Tomorrow i'm making buffalo wings (baked nor fried but they come out nice and crispy still)

I make burritos and enchiladas at home as well as quesidlas.

I guess it comes down to whether you prefer beef, chicken, pork or vegetarian (I do a mean fish taco as well).

Chicken enchiladas are easy... sautee some red and green capsicums with onion and some mexican seasoning (1/2 a packet of taco seasoning is fine). Add chicken strips (i use breast meast as my wife doesn't like thigh) and more seasoning and a small jar of salsa (you can make your own if you wish) and cook the chicken about 80% through.

Place the mixture into tortillas rolling them like a sausage roll and place them all in a baking dish. Top with salsa/taco sauce and grated cheese and bake for about 30 minutes. Serve with a few dollops of sour cream and sliced avocado on top :)

Any left over enchiladas will freeze well for up to 3 months (although they never last that long here)

Another good twist on an italian classic is mexican lasagne :))
