We thats put the cat amongst the pigeons!
Jose has just done a live interview with Jim White on talkSport and I took notes:
  1. Have you always admired WHU - throughout Champ/Prem they always had great atmosphere in their old ground. Love the fans passion
  2. Loved my time at Saints and have so many friends still there. Achieved so much over the years
  3. My time at Saints came to an end for "one reason or another"
  4. He didn't put in a written transfer request
  5. After the summer success at the Euro's there were a number of offers on the table and discussions with management about leaving but that didn't happen but I didn't put in a written request
  6. "For one reason or another it happened"
  7. "100% sure all the players will say I am professional and they know the truth. I never refused to play. I don't want to open a can of worms"
  8. "I didn't expect to have moved from Southampton but now its happened I am looking forward"
  9. Joined WHU because of the manager and the real ambition of the club. They really want to achieve things
Wow......waiting for the response from the club as that contradicts most of the messages coming from them

Points 3, 6, and 7 scream NDA has been signed. Question is, why? He's opened the can of worms as far as he believes he can without overstepping a specific threshold.

The fact is that whatever means he used, he wanted to leave. He can't imply that by not putting it in writing it means that he wanted to stay when he clearly (for whatever reason) didn't. It doesn't make it any better if he used sign language.
