    Reminds me of my dad's first of many serious hospital stays, though with his heart that time rather than the numerous dementia-based issues that have seen him there since. He's still with us, but I imagine I'll be posting on the RIP thread and needing this one again before long.

    This was 'our song' with two separate former girlfriends. I only ever grudgingly liked it in the first place, and hated it before too much longer. But there was a time and a place...

    I walked into them filming the video for whatever the ballad was called off their big album ( Landslide of Love?) on my way home from working at Moorfields Eye Hospital to Old Street tube and can absolutely confirm she was pretty gorgeous in real life too. FACT

    I was 14 learning how to play the drums when a 18yr old girl took me in hand, literally. Then she put this on the player, let it run continuously and then she made a man of me.

    First record I ever purchased, initially for the sax backing.
    Our gang used to listen to it in the phonebox next to the recca on Boothferry Road in Hessle (opposite Darley's pub). When teledisk was a feature of the Hull Telephone exchange in the mid-50's +

    Strangely I ended up marrying a lass from his birthplace (Ottawa) 25 years later.
