Changed villa to wensdee.meh I'm always positive about city but I have a strong feeling this season will be a disaster.
Millwall not, ideal at any time. Shame about burton a Saturday would have been great. Same with Fulham.
I fail to see that however our fixtures are configurated it alters the overall object of the season, to finish at, or as near to the top of the league as possible. Whatever happens inbetween, injuries, suspension, whatever, is all part and parcel of the game. We still have to play both teams twice, besides any pairing for cup matches, and if all this seems blatantly obvious, then it is.
The manner in which you play teams though can make a big difference. Having the tough games all together can make things tougher, particularly over the festive season, while having easy teams to end the season can make the difference for a play off campaign or for sealing automatic promotion.
When you see those it makes you laugh to read in the HDM that they couldn't play the FC v Leeds semi final on a Friday night because of the difficulties fans would face travelling...to Doncaster.
Chester and Curtis, lets hope he signs Junior as well and plays three at the back, -- the Good, the Bad and the ****ing Useless
I realise it isn't the 'be all and end all' but if we have failed to get Tammy Abraham then that to me is not a good sign at all. I realise that the lad will want to ply his trade in the PL, even if it is at probable relegation battlers, however it is the first indication that we'll have seen that the Slutsky/Abramovic relationship is not going to guarantee that we get the pick of the outgoing Chelsea players.
I suppose we have to hope Chelsea give us this seasons tammy abrahams, rather than the previous season chubs akpom
I'm surprised anyone thought he was a realistic signing with so many Premier League players chasing him, I never even bothered putting him on the City Transfers thread summary, as I thought the chances of it happening were pretty much zero.
