Surely the four lads on the right are just stood in front of "TIGERS".
They are in front of the sign that says "your ideal move to Stoke is only a few years away"

Nobody's ideal move is ever Stoke. FACTThey are in front of the sign that says "your ideal move to Stoke is only a few years away"![]()
Second fixture move...
Please note that the kick-off time for our Sky Bet Championship home game against Leeds United on Saturday 27th January has been changed.
On police advice, the game will now kick-off at 12.30pm, and not 3pm as originally scheduled.

Understandable and not exactly unexpected. At least it's the same day.Second fixture move...

Are all the Yorkshire games going to be moved? Wouldn't be surprised.Second fixture move...

Yes yes you're right. No other games ever get moved. Why? They can't cope with 2,500 away fans? Other places seem to manage. Good job we won't ever be a World Cup ground. Imagine the state of panic at the thought of thousands of Poles and Russians turning up. Or a load Germans.
Has there been any trouble at the last games against Leeds?
Yes yes you're right. No other games ever get moved.
The lack of trouble couldn't possibly be down to the way way they're policed either.
It's also obviously the reason why we'll never hold a World Cup game. Nowt to do with size or location.
I missed your angry uninformed rants btw. Welcome back.
No need to get all het up fella.Calm down Happy. How many Leeds games against other Yorkshire teams will be moved because of police "advice"?
The lack of trouble is a chicken or egg situation.
In 1966 Boothferry Park missed out to Hillsborough by one vote. Has Hull shrunk or moved since then?

Things have changed somewhat in the past 50 years.

I was at this game, and there was quite a lot of things kicking off.

BTW, When the World Cup was awarded to England only Hillsborough and Goodison outside of Wembley had more seats than Boothferry Park. Though by the time it was played Old Trafford had as well.
Places like Sunderland and Middlesbrough had to put in temporary seating to meet FIFA equirements.
Wouldn't have happened nowadays. Imagine the Plod's reaction to 40,000 arriving from out of town, 15-20,000 from Leeds. 2,500 Leeds fans causes them to have a nervous breakdown these days.
Yes I remember that, and as you say we were close to getting the gig. I just sent that to show we did get from time to time games that had to be at a neutral ground, which showed we had a good enough capacity to stage them..
The programme editor was clearly impressed with the Sunderland number 5.You must log in or register to see images
There was certainly some good players on show.
