Fixtures

just to show the difference in calibre, these are the corresponding fixtures for the two clubs:

norwich---ipswich

liverpool---watford
manchester united---bournemouth
chelsea---burnley
arsenal---sheffield wednesday

who would you rather be playing in your run in?

What i wouldn't say is finishing higher than certain clubs are so unabtainable, yet then call games against the same certain clubs as winnable!

you really are a complete moron aren't you! surely it emphasises the point still further!! you seem to think we are doomed, after all.

i do wonder how ipswich fans would talk were their club to ever earn themselves a spot at the top table. i suspect they would be saying exactly the same as us. if you are so blind you cannot see there are divisions within a division then i may as well talk to someone else, someone who is clued up about football. the best norwich could have realistically have hoped for last season was 7th - we finished 11th, therefore we finished 4th in OUR part of the division.i refuse to believe you don't understand this concept - you are merely attempting to wind us up. nobody is THAT stupid.

and if you think beating the likes of man united and arsenal (deservedly so on both occasions) is boring then you need your head checking. just 3 goals conceded in 7 tv games - i read ipswich fans getting all excited last season cos they only conceded 3 goals in 9 games in the championship. now THAT is double standards! enjoy yeovil - the fans are terrific to be fair <ok>

Sorry Supers but that stat is totally meaningless and it doesn't tell the whole story! <doh> We finished 14th but until the second last day we could have been relegated just like you! You can start bragging about league positions when you actually achieve a top 6 or 8 finish! <ok>

are you playing thick guru or just on the windup?

the reasons are financial. anyone can beat anyone in football, that's why we all enjoy it, and why teams such as luton are capable of beating us on their day. but norwich cannot compete with any of the top 6 or 7 in the transfer market. it' isn't a level playing field, therefore creating two divisions within a division.

comprende?

you would be saying exactly the same thing if ipswich had just finished 11th in the top flight having spent as little as we can.

excuse me, where am i bragging about finishing 11th? and isn't it a fair assumption amongst all football fans, pundits whoever, that you always finish where you deserve? we spent almost the entire season drifting between 7th and 15th, about 7-10 points above the drop zone. it was only after the villa game that the gap closed dramatically because results went against us! and low-and-behold, we finished the season 8 points clear. basically our average over the course of the season.

No fair enough you weren't bragging but to say that you finished 4th in your own little league is just plain daft!

Can anybody honestly say they would like to go to war with supers with such a negative attitude?

so basically in your first season, financially would you say you were the 12th best in the league? no, but you finished 12th! so whats to say you can't punch above your financial weight again? thats why your little 2 division theory crap is just that, crap!

basically supers you hide behind this fact just to paint a glory picture over your club, but will then completely dismiss it to then make another fact!

bizarre. i'm probably the most positive norwich fan in existence, anyone will tell you that. i'm also realistic. we have overachieved MASSIVELY during the past two years. there was a thread the other day highlighting us as having the best team in terms of 'value to money spent'. it is 99% impossible for norwich to finish in the top 6 next season. it's not completely impossible - but it is near as damn it. and you know it!

The only one of our National sports teams that is worth supporting! Great guys and some brilliant players amongst them. Joe Root is going to be a bloody superstar! <ok>

jimmy is my hero. i met him in a bar in london a year or so back and i was so pissed but happy to see him - i just literally ran over to him and hugged him! bless him, he was very nice, had photos taken and bought me another beer (not sure that was a good idea!) <laugh>

If there is that 1% chance, then as far as i'm concerned you can't spout this crap about you finishing 4th. you finished 11th end of!

guru, why do you think the top four is almost always the same 'top four'? why do you think spurs suddenly became a contender after spending shedloads of cash (est. £160m)? when teams who still spend big like liverpool cannot even get in the top six, you can see how difficult it is. i really don't know why i'm still interacting with you - we all know you're on the wind up! <laugh>

Showing my age but my most prized possession is a cricket bat signed by the 1985 victorious England Ashes team. Cook, Trott, KP, Root, Anderson, Swann & Broady are terrific and I'm looking forward to a glorious Ashes Summer! Feck the football for a couple of months! <cheers>

the thing is that I'm not on the wind up, I hate to see fans going into a season with such a negative attitude that they are defeated before start? whats the point in that case we might as well have a breakaway league of 7 clubs if you had your way.

Prime example, for you supers of the crap you are talking, Newcastle comes up, finishes 5th, then has a nightmare season and just aviod relegation. explain to everyone why it is so nailed on at the top when i have just given you cold hard facts!

Excellent programme on radio 5 last night called Flintoff's Ashes Legends. Understated 'heroes' like Gladstone Small, Gary Pratt <ok> etc.
It'll still be on iplayer or radio5 podcast if you missed it.

i'm sorry, but you must be on the wind up.

on a side note guru, i see you're club are signing joel grant. neat little player. i haven't stopped laughing at you signing cole skuse though - man, that guy is gonna be a legend at ipswich! for all the wrong reasons, of course. if i were to compare him to another footballer i'd go with andy hughes. watch him weave his magic!!! <laugh>
