Whoever the new boss is has a good set of fixtures to start with.

    December looks bloody tough though.

Home on opening day and last day again! We have a good opportunity to rack up early points as we've been given a kind start.

That start should really see us towards the top of the table early on.

West Ham (a) game will be moved because of Athletics.

Game will either be postponed or turned into our home game.

Important we get a good start with some kind early games. If we can get a manager and all transfers concluded early it should help matters.

Huge upside of our first 11 games is that only Manchester United are in Europe. So, unless sky or bt want them (can only see them wanting Brighton and making it a "Derby") we should get a good run of Saturday games.

Got my wish with Newcastle and Everton away both in second half of season.

Everton might be tough to get tickets for though being last away game and if we carry on with taking silly allocations.

Might just be me, but I thought our away following last year was pretty poor...? Don't remember us selling out that often.

Our away following has never been that great numbers wise past London.

The club made some odd decisions allocation wise towards the end of last season though.

I want to Everton away last year and the attendance was abysmal. Though itwas the New Years Day game in fairness!

I agree in that aside from London, Bournemouth and Brighton the demand doesn't for tickets doesn't tend to be there.

Yes, I saw ManU and Spurs together. At least they are got out of the way. But it put me in mind of a few seasons ago when we went upto Old Trafford and beat ManU 1-0 for the first time in recent years, then through suspensions and injuries a rather depleted squad stayed up in the north and went to St James Park to beat Newcastle 2-1. At that time there were calls from lots of pundits asking if Southampton FC could really achieve something. Well, in the event, we fell away slightly and went into the Europa League qualification rounds. But for a significant part of the season we were breathing a pretty rarefied air.
