I still think the playing order of games is significant, but who knows, as you say we have to play everyone at some stage. Hope we can all have a good laugh at my pessimism at Xmas, Bah humbug!!

I wouldn't have minded 1 or 2 more of them being at home! Like last season, success before xmas may hinge on picking up away points against teams who will finish around us! If we dont we may be playing catch up (again).

blinkey blimey talk about your glass being half empty ,we are not even in the pub car park yet,how about we win them all and be safe by the end of jan

FFS, the transfer market has barely kicked in and we have a manager who's style in still sinking in.

Poyet has committed himself, we have money available and are suddenly a club where the title winners keeper will come.

I wasn't panicking with 10 games to go last season and I won't be in June this season.

I would love to be optimistic about SAFC but my experience of some 40 years as a supporter tells me otherwise. I'm not saying it's a conspiracy, or anything like that. But, the order of the fixtures can make a huge difference. And, no I didn't want us to be relegated last season. I've never gone for the assertion that a season in the Championship can make you stronger.

Overall, I just like to take a realistic view, whether that be optimistic, or pessimistic.

Gonna do a bit merging here lads, we have 3 threads discussing the same ****, if there are no objections as we do have tangents??????

The supporters of the 3 promoted clubs would have been praying for the chance to play against, and visit the grounds of, the big clubs.

Why can't we ffs?

Last season for quite some time, it looked highly likely that we would be playing Boro, Leeds Millwall etc in this coming season, now people are bleating about which order we play City, Chelsea Man U and co.

Ffs there is no pleasing some.
