What's happened to Tom Cairney over the past few years?
He looked decent in the PL, we go down to the Championship and barely get a sniff.. watch him be back next season now we're back in the PL... Oh football is a funny game...

A handful of Hull City's most promising youngsters can spend the summer dreaming of a Premier League adventure after being awarded their first professional deals.

Academy graduates Danny Chambers, Ben Clappison, Joe Cracknell, Matty Dixon and Sam Topliss will all join the senior fold next season and continue on a journey they hope will conclude with a place in Steve Bruce's first-team plans...

<laugh> I remember him from when I managed Hull on FM, that name cracked me up then, and it still does now <laugh>

That reminds me of the guy I had on loan on a game years ago: Stuart Stewart.

Also it's a bit irrelevant but the best footballer's name ever is the guy who played LB for South Africa at WC 2010: Tshabalala.

It did occasionally throw out some weird ones.

On my last one someone appeared called "Sergio Condom"

As you do...

Agree about tshabalalalalalala though

Danny was the best player of my age, him and Rich Overment, who didn't get a contract due to injuries.

I haven't managed any reserve/youth games this season(as far as I can remember), but I normally go regularly and Emerton is one of the best players I've seen in any City youth team.

Why he never got a look in, or a decent loan, is beyond me, he's a good player and I fully expect him to move through the leagues, he looks every bit a Championship player.

Rich Overment was released when he was 16/17. So not many people will know who he is, but he had Pace to burn and was big and strong. I could see him making the step up over any other.

Just as long as he stays professional unlike Cooper. Thankfully we dont have a Bullard in the squad anymore.
Shame as Liam Cooper has been a waste of talent. He is far better than Chesterfield in league 2 even now.

One thing Ben Clappison won't be is unproffesional, one of the most dedicated young players I've seen, great attitude and desire to succeed.

As you seem in the know jeff can you explain why Joel Sutton wasnt kept on?? Seen the youth team 4-5 times this season. Thought he was the best player on the pitch for City against Liverpool. Scored goals every time ive seen him play for City.
