Oh the good old days when you got your burger in a toasted bun, served on a plate with tea in a sturdy cup and saucer.

Burger and chips followed by a Knickerbocker Glory from Rocco Forte's "restaurant" in Bournemouth by the Winter Gardens. With a real strawberry nestling at the bottom, which we would usually try to flick across the room at a pre-selected target using the foot long spoon as a catapult. A clip round the earhole and a hasty retreat from the premises would follow. Bundled into the back of the old man's Hillman Super Minx in disgrace. Happy days.
