Sadly not a thread dedicated to the West End musical Five Guys Named Mo which gave employment to our darker brethren before The Lion King. Have any of you chumps had the pleasure of a Five Guys burger? Not cheap but comparable to Byrons or the Gourmet Burger Kitchen in price. There are more of these joints opening up around the country (well at least in the civilized bits) so I wondered if anyone else has discovered them yet. What sets Five Guys apart is that you get to pick your own toppings from a wide selection, you can also double up if you feel particularly fat. I'm generally off the fast food where possible but once in a while Five Guys has to be done, their chips are spot on too. Did I mention Five Guys enough?
Took Baz Jnr to the one at St Vincents Street in Glasgow to celebrate the Petrofac Cup win last week. I won't lie, the Burger was top notch and unlike your BK or McD's, I didn't feel lethargic or groggy after eating the burger though that was maybe the shock of paying over £20 for two burgers and chips.
5 Guys is decent, and so is Shake Shack. Definitely the best 'fast food' burger places currently available. Johnny Rockets has gone downhill massively though, and anyone who eats at McDonald's or Burger King should be executed, even if that means a dramatic drop in Not606 population, because I imagine for the majority of basement-dwelling obese virgins with no career who police the site on here that that is their staple diet...
Bread Meats Bread isn't fast food per se, it's more gastropub burger bar, whereas 5 Guys is a fast food burger joint. Any respectable burger fan knows this. Beginning to question who you really are.
It's like comparing pints in Lebwoskis to 4 cans from Tescos. If ye want a pint and a burger, and then several more pints, you wouldn't go to 5 guys, you'd go to Bread Meats Bread. Whereas if yer hanging and want a quick fix, ye go to a fast food place, just like 5 Guys. For a discerning gentleman of fast food delicacies like yourself, I am surprised we are discussing this.
cans from tesco don't cost the same price as pints from lebowskis though. 5 guys (aptly named) is strictly for pooves
