The likes of Meyler and Quinn have shown how good they are in the last couple of games. Much more effective than the technically superior Huddlestone and Livermore. Thing is though if Livermore goes to Villa under Sherwood I bet they''ll get the best out of him. Look at Cleverley's turn-around under Sherwood.

Trouble is it will be nowhere near 8 million we paid.

I'd rather think about who'd stay and be useful to us in the Championship:

McShane
Maguire
Bruce - but he needs to play like he has done this season. He raised his game to the PL; needs to keep it up in the Championship.
Brady
Rosenior
Quinn
Meyler
Ince

I'd be disappointed if any of them go. Be delighted if we can keep Chester but he deserves a PL team at this stage in his career.
And Snodgrass.

Almost every player at every club is for sale if the price is right.Looking at it logically (a dangerous thing to do where football is concerned) if we are relegated I can't see Premier League clubs being in for many of our players unless we have a fire sale.

If what we have been told is true the club is in a reasonable state re. its finances though I wish we didn't owe the Allams 60 million quid or whatever the true figure is.I hope plans have been made to comply with the FFP rules and that the players do all have 50% salary cut clauses in their contracts

If we are relegated I think it would be difficult for us to get back to the Premier League you need a good mix of skill and effort to achieve this and we are sadly lacking in both departments.

We need to get Quinn tied-up to a new deal ASAP. Same with Rosenior and McShane.

Heard Ince is leaving us regardless of division.

I don't think there's been a turnaround in Cleverley. He just stands out more playing alongside weaker players as opposed to when he was at United, he was the weakest.

Bruce mentioned relegation clauses and pay cuts but it is unlikely that all players have agreed to such terms.
For instance, the N'Doye negotations that went right to the wire on deadline day.
He had to take a pay cut just to join us. I can't believe he has also agreed a further 40% pay cut knowing he was going into a relegation battle.
It will most likely be the core team who got us up last time who have agreed to these relegation clauses.

Until a few weeks ago he couldn't even get in the team, so his fortunes have taken an upturn of late. But I still wouldn't say he stands out in that team - Delph looks twice the player Cleverley is, week in week out.

If we can hold onto a few of our good players and bring in some Prem quality loans like Afobe, Bamford or James Wilson. Also sign a few players that know that division and we might have a chance.

He went from not scoring in over 2 years to getting 3 in about 3 weeks under Sherwood. Like most of Villa's team, he was ****e under Lambert but now seems to be playing well. I have a hunch Sherwood would get a similar improvement out of Livermore.

When did Meyler do that? I can't remember him passing the ball forward yesterday. Everyone went on about him replacing Livermore yesterday after Arsenal. The fact was he just made some forward runs into positions any CM player should bloody be doing but thats the thing. Our midfield is ****

I think that Livermore suffers from playing alongside Huddlestone, as soon as he get's possession he's looking to get rid of it usually to Hudd.

Yeah I don't think Meyler and Quinn have shown how good they are, they've just shown a bit of fight

Agreed, and then Thudd treats it like a hot potato and gets rid asap, I'm all for one touch football but if you're going to play that game make that one touch positive, not a pass backwards/sideways to Macca ffs!

It'll be everyone but we've probably guaranteed N'Doye a move at the end of this season regardless, either back overseas on relegation, or to another PL club if we stay up.
