When we are relegated, what is our 'financial state' looking like for next season in comparison to last time we went down in 2010?

It can't be worse than last time unless Allam pulls the plug out of spite

Good question. This is important and I haven't got a clue. Allam won't want us to know if it is a problem though. He loves us to think that we need him.

On the plus side parachute payments much bigger than 2010 and contracts have relegation clauses also we have more salable assets than last time, however, how allam approaches is relegation is the crux, he could sell sell sell and take cash out but also, heust know his only chance ofgetting his cash back is getting us prem again then selling

It was mentioned briefly on Humberside after the match, Burnsy seem to think the club pretty healthy financially .
I heard that as well. And with the parachute money and maybe sales of Robertson and Livermore to the likes of Villa I'm sure we will be okay. Beyond those two I don't know who'd want to but any of our current squad which means we should be one of the stronger teams in the championship.

Dawson and Elmo

n'doye will probably go for 1-2 million, probably back to europe

hernandez maybe back to italy

no one will want to buy huddlestone.. perhaps a newly promoted team for a 1-2 mill

chester, 50/50

brady? dont think so, quinn nah, elmo, cant see it

dawson davies mcshane and bruce, nah, mcgregor, nah, aluko nah

Other teams will be v interested in; Davies, Chester, Dawson, robertson, Elmo, livermore, Quinn, hudd, ndoye and jela for sure, Selling 2-3 of them would hopefully put us financially OK, but that is on the premis that allam doesn't pull the plug and act le dickhead

If we get relegated expect the following to leave:
Huddlestone
Livermore
Jelavic
Hernandez
N'Doye
Ramirez (Loan terminated)
Robertson
Chester

The following will leave regardless:
Ince
Davies
Figgie
Sagbo

But I'm sure we'll bounce straight back up anyway.

Bounce back up <laugh>

I'd rather think about who'd stay and be useful to us in the Championship:

McShane
Maguire
Bruce - but he needs to play like he has done this season. He raised his game to the PL; needs to keep it up in the Championship.
Brady
Rosenior
Quinn
Meyler
Ince

I'd be disappointed if any of them go. Be delighted if we can keep Chester but he deserves a PL team at this stage in his career.

Ricardo did a post a while back about this. He might do another for us. I think his post was basically it won't be as bad as last time and not everyone will have to leave.

Swansea were showing were interested in Chester a few months back.

so you mean our last championship squad?;p

The likes of Meyler and Quinn have shown how good they are in the last couple of games. Much more effective than the technically superior Huddlestone and Livermore. Thing is though if Livermore goes to Villa under Sherwood I bet they''ll get the best out of him. Look at Cleverley's turn-around under Sherwood.
