Do you know many happy Celts? Most of them seem a touch miserable most of the time. Don't forget that he's Scotch and they have a collective inferiority complex where England is concerned which is why they must make excuses for failure.
I wanted to kick the TV screen in when he accused us of time wasting. What utter b*llocks! We're probably one of the only teams who don't time waste when holding a slender lead.
Fergie moaning about Fergie time, really is irony at its best though isn't it?

Surely you cannot be serious. Warnock the man who complains about everything. You do mention him in another post as a manager who isnt gracious in defeat along with Fat Sam so maybe you really were joking

Finally find me a winner who enjoys losing.

Im glad he doesnt accept it. Hes won 48 trophies in his managerial career by not accepting defeat.

he broke the jinx. Of course it would be a shame if ye go and lose next week after that SAF can be very gracious in defeat, but he wasn't on Saturday. He was clearly frustrated- probably with himself for a) having to play Rio who is now a liability b) not signing a midfield "enforcer" since Keane left and c) not playing Rooney from the start.
Petulance is not a virtue- nobody is suggesting that it is- but it is a trait that many "winners" have. At 70, he has mellowed (a little), but he detests losing. If he was any less passionate, he wouldn't still be the driving force he is. When he comes to doing what he thinks is best for the club, he can be incredibly one-eyed, selfish, beligerent and insensitive. As a person though, giving so much of his time to others as he does, despite all his commitments, he is kind, loyal, sensitive and polite. The conundrum with SAF is that discipline and good manners are virtues he expects in himself and others.
) and that was a trait I liked, even though you could see how much it hurt to lose.I don't think I can be any clearer in what I said. I said he wasn't gracious on Saturday and I haven't made excuses for him. He is what he is and like many people, the strengths in his character and personality can also be weaknesses.
. However saying it is a winners trait and it was because he detests losing sound like excuses to me, but I do accept your comment was fuller than I'd appreciated.Im glad he doesnt accept it. Hes won 48 trophies in his managerial career by not accepting defeat.
In short, Ferguson's attitude is more in line with a habitual loser than it is of a habitual winner.

Hehe! I see what you did, there!![]()
