i have just been sat here thinking and reminiscing of past players some great characters and some genuine quality players... then Gareth Hall pops into my mind, i shudder and suddenly feel very angry, i hated that ginger mong!
i was gutted for Dariusz Kubicki he never beat the record... oh yeah also used to really like Martin Scott

Relic Dept. here. Len Shackleton - the total magician, the madcap comedian, the one-off unpredictable match-winner. And afterwards, he had a smile, a kind word and an autograph for any kid who asked - ordinary kids like me. Magical player, nice man - says it all, really.

Just thought can I have another one?

    Little Stan Cummins. :)

Saw him score 4 in a game.
Scored against the skunks to win the game for us.

Plus he knocked back Keegan who wanted him at Newcastle. :p

On his day Slim Jim was world class. He gave England a football lesson at Wembley in 1967.

Just for the pleasure and the memories...it has to be Porterfield for me.

Kevin Arnott was a favourite as was SKP.

Can't pick between SKP and Marco. Probably THE 2 most exciting players I've seen at Sunderland.
For some reason I always liked that American midfielder Reidy brought from Rangers, can't remember his name now, someone please tell.

That's him, I saw some glimpses of real quality from him, shame he was injured most of the time he was with us.

I cant make my mind up between SKP or SNQ

Both top players and LOYAL to our club,

SKP scored some cracking goals and only cost 500k & The big fella chipped in with a few goals aswell and both of there over all play was outstanding.

What i wouldnt give to have them both back in there prime & playing for us now
