It was mentioned that not a lot has been spent on marketing in the past, but my understanding was that that amount has significantly increased now and we should see some effects of that soon. I gave some specific examples such as the signs around the perimeter of the ground still advertising the 'new' 13-14 home kit at the back end of last season, and various suggestions were made from all almost everyone there.

Really the key thing is whether progress is actually made, because the sounds were positive, but I've heard things like that before from Nick Thompson and even Pearson. This problem has been going on for far too long and progress never seems to be made on it no matter how much the problem is identified and discussed. Hopefully this time it will lead to progress.

Blasphemy!!!

Its always been **** City have never cared for or engaged with the public to any great degree. Lets hope we do it now.

I'm not sure what makes you think it will be any different this time though PLT ? Are you saying the Allams recognise the mistakes they have made in their treatment of fans and wish to make amends ?

If the name change thing still hasn't been taken off the table how can we move on ?

The club do not want to hear that people don't like the things they've done. Any discussions will revolve around justifying what's done rather than considering if it was right, or done right.

We desperately need a marketing manager and PR officer.

I think JM deserves a chance to do what he says he'll do before we judge him on that. If he doesn't deliver what he said then there's a problem.

I agree with your second paragraph and I said something along those lines at the meeting: we need clarity and a resolution on the name change issue, and without that, talk of pie prices and marketing is insignificant.

Do you not think the timing of all this speaks volumes?

If they'd really wanted fans views, they'd have done it before some of the more recent contentious decisions. Try pointing out something that goes against his flow, and see if he listens or if he justifies their position and dismisses other opinions.

If the club we're not going to re-apply, then they'd say so, it would be stupid not to.

That being the case, I think we can be fairly sure the nonsense will start again shortly.

I hope you get invited again PLT.

Sounds to me your doing a good job and fingers crossed this fans group can have some influence .
