There is going to have a point when fans have to be let back into stadiums, if not, like with many companies, clubs will go bust and the long term implications will be catastrophic. A balance is going to have to be found, or people being out of work because of it is going to have a bigger social impact than the virus itself.

Would that be such a thing?

It's about time the over- inflated football bubble burst, and a cheaper, more enjoyable sport ushered back in.

Ban live football tv coverage, and watch the EFL prosper, and football recover its health.

It might even become interesting again. .

Would love to see that. Unfortunately it won't happen as it needs to happen world wide.

It can happen, as most countries are the same as others with fans in stadia (or stadiums as some people call them).

Yes, but there are millions all round the world willing to pay money to watch clubs they have no connection with from the comfort of their sofa. You can't put the genie back in the bottle unfortunately.

You may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one

The problem with that is that where the over-inflated football is, is in the EPL and to some degree in the Championship. These clubs are unlikely to go under as they get the TV money.. Clubs in the lower leagues are the ones that will suffer, and for them to go out of business IMO would be a crying shame.

I do agree that this pandemic is likely to have an effect on the top to leagues also, which is no bad thing, but it is the lower leagues they are the most vulnerable.

Solution: defund Sky & BT. They're the ones driving the problems in football.
