So if, for example, a player gets sent off, as he trudges off, for whatever reason, he shouts abuse at a particular supporter. The supporter runs onto the pitch and dropkicks the player. Does the supporter gets a 10 month ban, instead of a life ban, because he was provoked?
I’m coming round to the idea. Should work wonders for ticket sales. They could even hold raffles with a cheap shot at your chosen player as the first prize!..
Just give the daft **** a hefty fine and make him clean the toilets at Villa for 6 months ... if he doesn't do a good job keep extending . .
Shearer just said, 'you should never have a fan running on the pitch', whilst calling for deductions etc. Hope he realises his hometown club he loves would be ****ed. But to run onto the pitch and attack a player, wtf are these ****s thinking? A second of fame, for maybe a few years in jail
Anyway, the fan will rightly get a life ban and probably a prison sentence to go with it. Birmingham should also get punished as he never should have got that far in the first place, especially in a local derby ffs. It's not like they've never had trouble/those sorts of incidents when Villa visit before. I'd disagree with a points deduction for the reasons Watford mentioned, but no reason why they can't have a game behind closed doors. Fell asleep early so haven't seen Neville's comments.
The fence idea is just silly and I don't agree with points deductions either. Just deal with the individual.
I don't think anyone is seriously advocating the return of fences, or if they are they need to give their head a wobble ffs.
Nobody wants to see fencing reintroduced, but if we can’t stop clowns like the two we saw at the weekend any other way!.... Given what goes on pretty much every day now, somewhere in the country, what if one of these idiots had been carrying a knife?
