the reason managers stand on the touch line shouting instructions is because they can see what the players cant see during the game and he can give valuable instructions if their team are not getting anywhere. all the best managers will sit down at the beginning of the match but once they see problems they are soon on the touchline shouting orders and encouragement. fergie, Arsen, the special one and many others, It can make all the difference to the game. By ML just sitting there like one of the spectators does not give any sort of encouragement to his players at all and that is one of his faults...

I have to agree with Dai on this. He doesn't need to shout and go ballistic like Fat Sam and others. Brendan pitched it about right for me - a calm presence on the sideline without too much interference, but always showing an 'interest'.

Not much different that posters that come here and spend all there time complaining about it really .

Pretty close never , great minds almost think the same . I really want a good FA cup run , Last seasons silverware has got me spoiled

Lets forget about Dai guys and concentrate on todays game, the tide is turning and we now have a chance to rebuild, the team and manager are focused like never before, and we have some of the injured back, so lets roll out the Jack Army support, and kick some Brumy butt, they are crap, and we should not have lost to them the last time!.............

PS: All we need to do is stop that Scottish git they got, Chris Burke from doing his footwork at our back four, and stop his crosses into the box, Brum are just 5 points from the drop zone in the Championship, and lost to Yeovil of all teams last game, who are cemented in the bottom of the Championship, if Laudrup can't get a win here, then he should give up management altogether!...........<ok>

Brum are playing with centre backs aged 34 and 35 or so because they lost Burn back to Fulham and Bartley injured (even if he could play against us). For me, put Alvaro on for 60 minutes to give them the run around and then bring on Bony to deliver the 'coup de grace', if required. Of course we should go out to win this one, they lost 0-2 to Yeovil last time out ffs. - clinton/PS

We need to smash this lot big time!............<ok>

....So I've just got home from the Philippines and am gagging to be able to watch the Swans at a sensible time of day - any idea if there'll be a stream of the match on any site later ?

I've already checked the usual suspects ( Firstrow, Wiziwig etc) but none of them have our game listed - they do have a few FA cup matches listed but not the Swans ???

Really need a morale boosting win today. Field our strongest possible side & show we mean business!! One game where we can switch off for 90mins from our Premier league problems & go for it..

Over to you Michael...

A competitive team...

I disagree....
- Tiendalli (pants) instead of Neil Taylor (who really needs game time and is a good RB)?
- Amat (defender) instead of de Guzman (who could use the opportunity to get some match fitness)?
- Lamah (pants) instead of Routledge (ok, I'll give you that, he may be tired)?
- Vasquez (utter *****) instead of Bony (who is on fire)?

Suddenly I don't feel confident at all. But what do I know?

Taylor is playing, De Guzman is still injured and Bony not playing is good. We need to be out of this cup.
